The US-Iran Beatdown

I was talking to a foreign policy analyst about this Iran situation. He described it as good cop, bad cop at first. France is the nice guy, coaxing Iran to work out a deal, while the US is the bad cop with the sanctions.
Now, it's good cop-bad cop-crazy cop, where Israel is the officer in the car ripping apart his shirt, while the US (after pulling over Iran) says, "Look, Iran. We can either work out a deal together, or I'll have to let my friend in the car sort this out. What's it gonna be?"

This made me laugh out loud.

I see us duking it out with Pakistan first, than Iran...That is, if America really does support this.

10+ years at war in the middle east...Not a very popular war, not alot of people are going to stand behind it.

We'll see...All speculation at this point.

one good thing in these situation that US will no need to spend to much money on deployment of troops,they are in Afganistan.

I feel less confident about diplomacy with Iran on this matter as most felt about North Korea. We all know how that turned out.

I trust Iran SLIGHTLY more than I trusted North Korea. I don't think that Iran is being run by raving lunatics. I'm quite certain that North Korea was.

We're all raving lunatics. One thing that differs Iran from N Korea is religion. I don't want to get into tons of research and start arguing about this, but from my understanding Iran has religious beliefs that call them to destroy Israel and/ or it's people. They believe that this will result in their god ruling the world and they will suffer eternal consequences if they don't obey. Of course this isn't a universal belief, but is said to have heavy influence on the people that will heavily influence Iran. Oh, I agree regarding how religion affects Iran. That's why they're very close to as much of a concern for me as North Korea. I guess I just trust Iran's leadership to have a bit of selfish survival interest whereas I don't know that will occur to North Korea's leadership.

Hell, in Iran they worship Allah, in North Korea they worship The Party Leader. I don't see much of a difference. Iran is a touch more rational than North Korea. And Iran is certainly more stable than North Korea. Those bastards could go postal at any moment over nothing. Wait.....umm......
