The point is the double standard that exists. Public figures that are conservative have targets on their backs.

Much like Rosie and "The Donald" getting into a publicized but short lived tiff because it wasn't news and nobody cared. It's why Trump won't be running for president any time soon, he's known as a self centered publicity whore. That makes him a celebrity and not a viable candidate.

The conservative vs liberal, Democrat vs Republican, Red vs Blue, Us vs Them or you're either with us or against us blather is all divide and conquer rhetoric. It's generic bs that almost always skirts discussing any legitimate political issues, yet still manages to disparage and target specific opposition. It's something small minded people can get behind with no effort and has a proven track record in election campaigns.

I've come to terms that RO made bank on The View. She's a stupid person (at least she often portray ignorant point of views) and the legions of stupid people need people they can relate to. That's just good casting. I still focus on the double standard that exists in the media.
