Conquer Club boycott

Postby eddie2 on Wed Feb 29, 2012 12:38 pm

Ok peeps i am seeing more and more players saying they are boycotting the site refusing to buy premium etc....
So what i am proposing with this thread is all players doing this plz post here with your reason.... then hopefully lack will step in when he see's the amount of loyal members that are doing it. (like he just has with a threat made by master bush.)

i am also going to ask that if anybody comes in here calling this a flame or troll to any member posting there real feeling admin step in and deal with the properly.

When ny next renew comes around, I wont be renewing.

Mainly due to the Rules that are enforced/not enforced/change to suit a MH's needs/ignored to suit a MH's needs.

There is plently of examples in the C&A section.

Edited*** After hearing back from Lack.

well i think i can obviously say something master bush was stupid making threats like that in the forum to the site owner.... this thread is due to different threads and players like

chariot of fire
comic boy
commander (nos i can't remember then)

plus many more but i say these 4 because they are just posts i have read today.

MB can be very outspoken and maybe shouldnt file a report like he stated, but for the owner, to come and post like he did, is not professional. I would expect more from someone like Lack.

After hearing back from Lack, I haven't changed my opinion on renewing my membership when it comes up, but I will and did apologize to him.

i love this post!! and people often point at me as someone that is uber negative on the site... yet my clan hands out more premiums in a year than any other clan! many of our members hand out premium without making a big deal about it. last year i believe we handed out close to 20 premium memberships, more through personal actions than official bandit contests. so, despite our disappointment in the site, the bandits do support it...-el Jesus negro

i plan on renewing as well, and my premium doesnt expire until december.

i think there have been more 'renewers' in this thread than 'boycotters'

The numbers aren't even close...there are tons and tons of non-forum-goers that'll renew anyway.

We hand out premium in our Official Mafia games. I also have handed out premium in some of my larger modded mafia games and plan to continue doing so in the future.

I am considering not renewing for the following reasons:

1.) Im tired of seeing "let's bitch about what happens in C&A and then make a thread in GD re-expressing our opinion that nobody gives a f*ck about" threads. Eventually you need to give things a rest. If what somebody does over an internet gaming site really hurts your feelings that bad, you need to reevaluate your priorities.

2.) This thread needs to be brought back to GD where it belongs and can prosper without the taint of the OT forum

Not renewing for reasons in the forum doesn't make sense to me. Being premium has nothing to do with the forums and threads that are in them.

I think it's safe to say it's not from those crazy white circles on the old classic map, :P

although back in the day, I went freemie for a spell as my way of protesting that...
if i recall correctly, I was committed to a week for every day they didn't address it,
so i was freemie for a lonnnnnng time,

This time it's different...

I originally came here to play RISK (often I forget that). After a while I started chatting with people in the forums and it gave me another thing to play around with (like a little bonus). Over the years a lot of maps and updates have came to the game which is great. I think it's amazing the things that can be done on here and look forward to more updates in the future. I have bought myself premium a few times and I've also bought others premium that could not do it themselves (or just for the heck of it). Conquer Club is not a huge corporation where there are rooms full of people working on every technical problem. There are a handful of people that help Lack out and most are on a volunteer basis. I think some peoples expectations for problem solving are a little high.

And we dont want that other one back, there are enought GLG related bitch threads here already, KH finally created a new and amusing thread in GD and you OT people stole it from us.
