She talked about contraceptive care as a whole and its cost, this was then divided into how much a condom costs by right wingers, as if all contraceptive care went on buying rubbers, and thus every purchase resulted in sex. Just reread a couple things. Apparently the articles about her testimony was citing the price of condoms in analyzing her numbers. That's probably not a valid comparison (unless she also wants the government to mandate providing condoms). However, there are far cheaper birth control methods that wouldn't cost $1000 per year.

not only is Sandra Fluke not a 23 yr old ‘coed’ – she’s a 30 yr old women’s rights activist who has a B. S. degree in Policy Analysis & Management, as well as Feminist, Gender, & Sexuality Studies from Cornell University (2003) and has served as the President of Law Students for Reproductive Justice, and Vice President of the Women’s Legal Alliance.

Furthermore, it’s reported that she made her decision to attend Georgetown only after reviewing the school’s insurance policy and seeing that it didn’t cover contraceptive services. She chose to attend Georgetown with the express purpose of battling this policy.

So it fully appears that Fluke was no fluke at all, but actually a Far Left plant designed to further the distraction that this is a women’s health issue and that Republicans simply want to deny women access to contraceptives. Free contraceptives.

The ‘War on Women‘ is how the Democrats are billing it in their latest fund raising efforts. An argument that begins with the assumptive that birth control is an inherent right, which it is not. Since launching its ‘War on Women‘ campaign last week, the DCCC has raised $1.1 million.

But this is not about birth control, it’s about the federal government’s power to force a religious institution such as Georgetown University to bend to its will and take actions that are fundamentally at odds with its core values. It’s about a direct attack on religious freedom.

It’s also about the outright deception and dishonesty employed by the President of the United States and the Progressive Left in their never ending quest to ‘fundamentally transform‘ America. To these Alinsky disciples, the ends truly does justify the means.

Naturally, Obama is willing to play his role in pulling this ruse off. After radio personality Rush Limbaugh weighed in on Fluke’s testimony, in his usual controversial manner, Obama found time in his busy day to reach out to this most fortunate “citizen” Sandra Fluke.

This is not a direct attack on Religious Freedom. It is calling attention to health programs and providers of health services who use religion as an excuse to deny women access to birth control. This is not requesting the church hand out contraceptives or members of a church use them. It's asking them to provide the same women's health services already available at similar institutions and universities across the country.

By progressive are you referring to people who no longer believe the world is flat and are making an effort to improve contemporary life by dealing with issues that effect women? Do you define the left as people who don't conform to or blindly accept policies that existed before they were born? Maybe Sandra Fluke should have been dunked in the Potomac River prior to testifying before a Congressional Committee to see if she floats.

This issue was thought to be resolved two decades ago, yet in some corners of the nation it lingers. Barak Obama did not create this situation, but speaks out because he is the President and current events have made this an issue that affects Americans.
