What movie or TV Show character does BBS represent?

Postby BigBallinStalin on Tue Mar 06, 2012 9:23 pm

I, BigBallinStalin, do hereby grant you the authority to compliment or insult me in any way you please. "Insults" include the Holy Trinity of Flaming, Baiting, and Trolling; however, you can't insult other users in here, but I might post a picture or gif in response. In my humble opinion, gifs are superior to Movie clips which usually are superior to pictures which are superior to a typed name.

Keep in mind, I can't be held responsible for weak-kneed 3rd party reporters, who may take offense at the sight of something which I would find amusing.

haha nice!, that's perfect for describing how I feel when discussing economics with certain people.

(That's one of my favourite scenes of all movies I've seen. especially at 1:55 to 2:00ish)

crash I want to tell you what I really think about you... but for some reason the insult section of my brain seems to be permanently shut down, so I'll tell you the other side of it

I think you are a troll. But you're funny. So I like you. For the most part. I don't like everything you say, as some is not appropriate for little ears but all around I sometimes straight up laugh at some of the stuff you write. But you're still a troll.

I see you post in discussions sometimes but honestly I don't think you have much to contribute. But I like reading your posts.

What TV character would you be? Honestly, I can't give an accurate depiction because my brain's clogged with MLP characters (thanks to j9b....)

I know. I almost hemerrghgghhed (mispell?), and to add insult to injury, SG7 didn't even post a picture, a gif, a movie clip, not even a few words to describe some character. Nothing. Absolutely Nothing. I'm going to cry now. Excuse me... :*(

This is easy.
http://x-files.wikia.com/wiki/Alex_Krycek

Image

You're agent Alex Krycek from the X-Files. SPOLER ALERT HERE POEPLE who have not finished watching the X-Files.

Alex Krycek was assigned as Fox Mulder's partner after Agent Scully disappeared. But soon he betrayed Mulder, and left him to die in a gulag. On the show Krycek was never who he appeared to be and he played all sides. His loyalty, and his identity changed many times.
That's why you're alike. You tell people here that you're some kind of economist, and they all buy it for some reason. But whenever you have an opportunity to show it, you fail. You post with many terms like "Keynesian" and pictures that are from "economist.com" all the time. But if I were going to pretend to be an economist this is how I could do it, because these are things that any politically conscious person already knows. You're not really an economist. You're an exploitist. You never seem to follow through on anything here accept to f*ck sh*t up and post stupid stock photos and gifs. You claimed to lose your charts that would prove something. And you said "we're going to explore the minimum wage and it's effects [on the economy] together!" And then you abandoned the thread. As anyone can tell you, if you really intend to do something, you just do it. But you didn't intend to follow through because you couldn't. It might as well blow your cover.
Or maybe you really are an economist of sorts (like Krycek really was a spy) and that's why this world is so fucked up. Because people look to you for answers but you never finish anything you start and spend all your time browsing CC and looking up dumb gifs on the internet. Which, I can assume, would affect your effectiveness as an economist. But more likely, you're a multi playing whatever side you deem most profitable. On this site you've argued for the super-conservatives, the regular conservatives, the trolls, and the super-liberals. Even thegreekdog, who's respected by all sides as a clear moderate with a level head, has not done this. And on the X-Files, only Alex Krycek worked for the Russians, retired Soviets, FBI, the Smoking Man, the Alien cabal, himself, and maybe even more that I'm forgetting. You've both played every single side for your advantage.
Actually, I realize after proof reading this that you've got more in common with him than I thought. I don't know what you are, but I know not to trust anything that you say. And that's why you're Krycek.

Haha, on the insult scale, this is the most amusing. Why?

(1) I've never heard someone being criticized for understanding a problem from multiple perspectives. This approach is novel!

(2) The added strength of this post comes from the unfounded assumptions, but straw man arguments are critical for eliciting strong emotions from the target. In short, assume the pretense of knowledge, then begin typing.

Excellent post, JB!

I felt bad after what I posted but it seems BBS is still on his feet so I don't feel so bad.

Now I think I've got something:

Funny guy who brings tribbles to the enterprise! Always fun and entertaining but sometimes you're too much. And Klingons don't like you (but Uhura does, and that's all that matters right?)

That fast talking coke-head in Die Hard who thought he was an amazing negotiator, but really just pissed everyone off.

BigBallinStalin I'm pretty disappointed in your interpretations of my opinion of you as a tv character. I mean-ah, you opened this thread with (sigh) yet another google image that seemed to imply, at least to me, that you already knew what we would all say. I wasn't so sure that it wasn't just me before, but because of the general direction/lack of interest in this thread and some words shared with friends, it does seem that others agree with me.
Like, I tried to think if there ever was a butthole used as a character in a movie... even in a cartoon,... but all I could think of was Seinfeld's belly button. I thought about that guy's girlfriend in Bonny and Clyde, y'know, Rosanne's mom. But who's showing you off? Then all at once Krycek just came to me. It was pretty perfect as a descriptor.
You as a CC character reminds me of Tom Green. When he first debuted his talk show, people went wild for him. He was regarded as some kind of more awesomer MTV David Letterman. But then later,.... ugh... what were we thinking? That guy's just a stupid annoying dick.
I figured that you already had an incline of this undercurrent of feelings toward you on this forum. Why else would you cannibalize thegreekdog's topic idea and attention-whore with it in this way? And the whole "come at me bro" was just to tell us to be honest because... you already knew.
Or so I thought.
I do apologize about the whole calling you out as a multi thing as I don't even remember that part. As I think back on this I don't remember it at all. Admitting you could be the multi of conquerclub's answer to Saint Thomas*, DancingMustard, but even if you are we still don't like your character. And there's no sense in treating a new character like an old one. Otherwise, what's the point of creating new characters? But all in all, it appears far more likely that you're doing some character and that you're not actually a multi. Even though you knew which forums to post what in when you joined here and say stuff that seems false. But!
If I could have given you some advice, it would be to stop with all these retarded copy/paste google images and cannibalized topics. It's like we already know what you're going to do, we just don't know how you'll use the [img] tags. Also, no more of this "i'm an economist so you should believe this." I think that even the people who used to believe you will see the light after visiting this thread.... though I admit most people seem to be ignoring it. But instead, you should decrease the quantity and increase the quality. Like, you've heard the expression "If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything." Well for you I'd say "If you don't have anything relevant to say, don't search for a google image."

*I know that a lot of CCers like to compare DM to Jesus, but I don't like to compare anyone to Obama. Plus that other black guy kinda has that label wrapped up around here.

Ok, I did a quick search but even I did not expect these results. I have here 8 pages of quotations from you where you over use the word "rhetoric." You're going around accusing everyone else of using popular "rhetoric" but now you want to act like you don't know anything about current politics?

If BBS really is an economist (doubt it), then I'd like to use this one chance to help prepare CC's high school seniors for their ACTs. Here's a qustion that you're likely to see:

George Armstrong Custer is to "General" what BigBallinStalin is to:

(A) Chimney
(B) Economist
(C) General

Ok, lets see if you know the answer?

I don't know about characters, but I think BBS is actually Shia LaBeouf. He only bothers to appear in the most popular threads/films, PhatScotty is in love with him, and everyone forgets he's Jewish.

Too lazy to look for an appropriate graphic, but I always think of you as Van Helsing.

Dracula was a venture capitalist, looking to invest in the UK. Van Helsing was just a guy providing free medical care.
