The Indians would pay some price to hunt them on some farmland/hunting ground for bald eagles.

I'm really not for hunting bald eagles. I think they're too pretty and dignified of birds and it makes about as much sense as hunting parrots. I'd be interested in hearing from hunters on their perspective (I'm not a hunter).

A bird is a bird is a bird. Also, they're incredibly stupid. I see no reason to separate the hunting of eagle from the hunting of turkey or deer, other than their population status. I can't imagine that their meat is any good, though, so the only use of hunting them would be for the novelty.
