A Tea Party Death Squad Fails, Intends To Kill Thousands

Postby pimpdave on Tue Mar 20, 2012 7:20 pm

Atlanta narrowly avoided a terrorist attack from a Georgia based Tea Party Death Squad last year by dutiful, America-loving FBI agents. These men intended to shoot as many civilians as they could as well as to detonate chemical and biological bombs in downtown Atlanta.

Consider these quotes from the racist, violent Tea Baggers:

I could shoot ATF and IRS all day long. All the judges and the DOJ and the attorneys and prosecutors.

There is no way for us, as militiamen, to save this country, to save Georgia, without doing something that’s highly, highly illegal: murder.

When it comes time to saving the Constitution, that means some people have got to die.

Atlanta (CNN) -- Preliminary hearings were scheduled for next week after four Georgia men charged with plotting to attack government officials with explosives and a biotoxin asked Wednesday for court-appointed attorneys.

Clad in jail jumpsuits and wearing leg chains, Dan Roberts, 67, Frederick Thomas, 73, Samuel Crump, 68, and Ray Adams, 65, were advised of their rights during federal court hearings in Gainesville.

It seems to me that anyone who publicly supports the Tea Party on this website is supporting something like the Nazi party, and those people are banned for bigotry. Let's make this world a safer place, one free of the Tea Party menace!

Usually, terrorism refers to attack on noncombatants or civilians. The line between insurgency and terrorism becomes blurred when the target is civilians who work for a government which creates perceived problems.

The DHS has labelled a terrorist attack as a violent politically motivated attack on noncombatants, unarmed soldiers, off-duty soldiers, and government officials. The message is political; the means are coercive.

Of course, if the USG is bombing terrorists with a drone strike and inadvertently kills a bunch of civilians.... well, that's not terrorism. It's war plus collateral damage.

I had a terrible nightmare last night, horrified by the idea of what would happen had this Tea Party Death Squad (one of countless others) had been successful.

Well, this thread turned me from indifferent to a tea party supporter. Congrats, pimp.

I praise pimpdave's efforts in stomping out terrorism wherever it may arise. Even in unlikely spots, terrorism lurks! Underneath the shadows of a lazily rotating ceiling fan, an evil detective is plotting to engage in terrorist activities.

Can someone point me to where it was stated that these people were part of the TEA Party? I read through the article and didn't see it, but I may have missed it. I'm guessing the reasoning goes something like this:
Premise A: These guys wanted to kill Government agents.
Premise B: TEA Party people want to kill Government agents.
Conclusion A: These guys must be TEA Party members.
Corollary to Conclusion A: TEA Party people want to kill Government agents.

Bonus: How many logical flaws can you spot in the above syllogism?

They repeatedly stated that their plot was inspired by a book giving instructions for violent attacks against civilians and the government, written by a Tea Party Leader named Mike Vanderboegh, who, hilariously enough, is on government paid disability. They announced their affiliation to the Tea Party to law enforcement.

Just to make sure I'm not missing anything, by "book giving instructions for violent attacks against civilians and the government" you wouldn't mean "fictional novel" would you?

You'd hope, wouldn't you? But, to be fair, this is the Tea Party and the fictional novels of Ayn Rand are kind of a major influence on their thought and actions. You might well be preaching to the choir by pointing out that the Tea Party stuff is fantasy.

Yes, I agree that the Tea Party is full of stupid people and also is a dangerously violent, racist organization.
