I'll go with it. I mostly think it's the seed of a horse-chestnut tree. It's a big game for kids in the UK. You find one, pierce it and put in on a length of string, then play conkers. I won't go into the rules.

The other ways I'd understand it, but with more context, would be to say a woman is attractive "Wow, she's a conker", or to say that someone is dead- "conked out" being slang for dying- "Sorry mate, he's a conker".

I've genuinely not seen anything like it before. I've had some fairly bitchy arguments, and some rough bits with other posters, but this was kind of out of the blue. My OP, and the attempts to correct it, were all done in good faith.
