Symm just rides me hard sometimes. I am unable to get a link to a specific source citing a photograph of Lee's signature on the deed LOL. However, my statement can be understood more fully after a bit' o thinkin'.
Now that Spike Lee has posted the wrong address, even if he apologized and gave them some money, that does not fix the damage he has done. Not every person who saw that tweet is going to get this memo, and that address will continue to get hate mail, vandalism, maybe even burglarized or the residents there may even be harmed in the future.
A bit' o more thinkin' will eventually lead you to property value aspect and the losses these completely innocent people have been afflicted with for no good reason other that some hot-head celebrity caught up in a frenzied race fueled media hate storm decided to take the law into his own hands without the simplest of due diligence (wrong address) and demand street justice, or whatever they are calling it.
The address of the house Lee tweeted has been ruined, because Lee tweeted it. If Lee is going to "Do the right thing", that includes fixing the problem with the now ruined address. Whatever I said, he bought the house, or he bought them a new place to live....that what seems to have happened. It was a general statement about the general problem. I heard somewhere he bought their house. When I find a source confirming it, I will rush it to the forefront as the most nuisanced bit' o information.
