To matters on hand.

Professor Firenze ā€œCentaur Vigilanteā€

ā€œYou are a Centaur, who is part of the Forbidden Forest Centaur Colony, and a professor of divination
at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. You were hired by Albus Dumbledor to replace Sybil Trelawny after she was forced out by Dolores Umbridge. You have faced down the evil that now confronts Hogwarts before and will fight till till your dieing breath to prevent a Deatheater victory.ā€

I have also been given the ability to investigate two players. I investigated Dazza and he came back positive. I investigated Chap and could not get a read one way or the other, which puzzles me. I do not know if I was blocked as there are a variety of possibilties.

My main ability is the abilty to kill death eaters but it is extremly difficult to use. It seems to me better suited to endgame. I can not just send in a players name because I believe they are a death eater. I need to send in the name of the player and predict the death eaters name.

I thought Chap was FOSing me because he somehow knew I tried to investigate him. I had no idea he tried to kill me. Why I lived I do not know. Chap seems to think that I am Mafia and and that they bus drove me with Safari the night he targeted me.
From a Mafia point of view that would be a silly sacrifice early in the game...especially knowing that Safari would die anyways. Why sacrifice a mafia member whose role has been exposed and who dies if his role works. Theres no need to frame someone whos dead anyways. Thats just my WIFOM point of view.

I will try and post as best I can. It seems everytime I am in a good game somthing happens to limit my participation.

If I'm not mistaken this sounds like the Executioner role from New Briarsburg Mafia. The executioner had to know both the player and the character name of the person he wished to kill. In Briarsburg, it was a mafia role that granted the potential for another night kill. However that was my only experience running into that role.

Disagreeing on the Safari thing. That would have been a perfect busdrive for mafia. As it could lead to an innocent investigation result on one of you or maybe even a guilty result on him.

The investigation is interesting though I wouldn't put it past mafia to frame one of their own in an attempt to save their own life. The one on chap doesn't really mean anything.

Long story short, I don't trust you any more than I did before your claim. however, I'll let you answer Spiesr's questions before I vote.

Well, that is one of the few non-Death Eater claims I would believe... Which makes me sad because I was hoping that he was, in fact, mafia. It could still be a fake claim, but my investigation was 'Not a wizard.'

So, Firenze is obviously not a wizard. Which means IB could be telling the truth, based on the information that I have. I will unvote while we discuss.

Nah, it's a fake claim. He typed it out manually. All of our roles so far (as does mine) have had parentheses around the true role name, one space away. He has quotation marks hugging his role name. His lines also don't cut short like it would if you C&P'd the green part of your role description from the PM.

Well, a pretty lame and/or cheap way to catch a scum, but I have to say it looks pretty damning to me. At this point I am okay with supporting a lynch on Iron Butterfly, but I will give him a chance to respond before I cast a vote.

IB I hope everything is going well with your family now.

I will wait for him to return to answer the questions that have been brought forth. The thing that is also standing out to me right now is that Tails was prodded a couple days ago and freezie has not said anything about this which looks like to me that you has responded to freezie but is still laying really low. But I have yet to play again with a prod that has not been answered before.

Yeah, not nearly as fun as entrapping someone in their own lie, but it is a tactic we have, and if freezie didn't want us to use it he wouldn't have given us our green PM sections.

If it makes you feel any better, I have believed Butterfly to be scum since about halfway into Day 2, so it's not like this is totally out of the blue.

I have made it a habbit not to cut and paste anything since Magic the Gathering. In that game I was asked to claim and I cut and pasted not realizing I had suicided myself. It was during the endgame and a very important part of the game. From that silly mistake.

I tend to make silly mistakes like that. I also got killed in Office Mafia for the exact same reason that Safari had to claim this game. I asked what I thought was a perfectly innocent question while scum hunting about the colors of player names. It seems the mod made everyone green for that game. Check out Office Mafia in the archives. It sucks dieing over silly innocent mistakes. LOL the irony. MtG I died for cut and pasting and this game folks want me lynched because I type to prevent such a mistake.

You are Professor Firenze ( Centaur Vigilante )

You are a Centaur, who is part of the Forbidden Forest Centaur Colony, and a professor of divination at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. You were hired by Albus Dumbledor to replace Sybil Trelawny after she was forced out by Dolores Umbridge. You have faced down the evil that now confronts Hogwarts before and will fight till till your dieing breath to prevent a Deatheater victory.

Here is my view on my role. I beleive there is a primary investigative power out there and we have found folks like Chap and myself. I did not want my investigative power to overlap anyone elses so I followed my own hunches. I didnt investigate Sparticas because I figured that he was such a central figure to our debate that one way or the other we would find out who he was. I truely beleived him which is why I fought so hard for him. I beleived him as Snapes partly because I truly beleived he could help us find mafia. My mistake with him was that I meta gamed him from his lynched charachter. I beleived him from his delivery.

My investigations

On night one I investigated Dazza. Why did I not investigate Jonty or Safari one may ask. The reason is simple. Harry Potter would have been a silly fake claim and with Safari he would have been lynched, sacrificed or mafia killed and his claim was not a threat. I did have my doubts about him but I felt it a good idea to find out what else is out there. Dazza was submarining big time and when he did say somthing it was nothing of relivence.

Night two I investigated Chap. One may ask why not Sparticas as but I explained my thinking above. Chap just seemed to be quoting Harry potter lore and tearing folks aprt because they didnt fit the lore. Sparticas was lynched because of the meaning of a word...granted his own play didnt help him, but the lore was a reason. With Chap I am puzzled because I did not get a result. I also do not have another left so the charge was used.

Night three I tried to see if Dazza was Voldamort. Dazza is still alive.

I am surprised no one has asked where he is and what has taken him so long to respond. That is all for now. I think I covered everything. If you have anything else ask. I will be back Sunday evening. I do check in from time to time but I wont have any time for an in depth response till late tommorow evening.

So by "positive" you mean he came up as a death-eater/mafia result?

Iron, is your investigation similar to Chap's, or is it a innocent/scum result? You said "positive," so I'm assuming that dazza would be a wizard.

I have some free time tonight. Thing should return to normal tommorrow.

I cant speak for chap. My investigation came back, your investigation reveals a Deatheater. Positive means sucess in my investigation in flushing out a bad guy. Its a matter of perspective I guess.

Some want to split hairs as to the presentation of my role. All I will say is that I made my explanation. Freezie had a lot of roles to hand out.

After thinking this one through, I'm inclined to accfept that IB is third party - it fits with the way he has posted. I didn't get "town" feeling from him but a third party vigilante makes sense. Dazza's response to IB's challenge was too dismissive in my book. I agree with the pressure idea, so unvote vote dazza

So Chap's investigation results in not a wizard. With muggles, centaurs and a few other possible creatures that not really damning evidence of scum. IB claims a role that fits in with Chap's investigation result without knowing the exact wording. The counter argument is about the right format (have to look more into that). IB claims that he got a guilty result on Dazza. On Night 1. IB did admit to concern about Dazza on day one. He calls out Dazza twice on Day 2 about the "plan" comment but he doesn't make a full case and it only comes back up today while he's under pressure. Can I ask you why you didn't try to make a full case on Dazza or vote for Dazza day 2?

What do you mean too dismissive?

I am suspicious of him, have been for a while by the way he has played. Chap got a guilty on him. Now he comes out saying I am guilty which is not true.

It really seems he has been caught out and trying to drag me down to give himself another night.
