That diagram of AoGs is slightly wrong.
No longer can you really buy all the seperate components at a lower cost than "pre-built" companies who have purchasing power. So you tend to have to pay the same price AND build it yourself.

Yeah, except that controls in linux are not yet as pretty and elegant and responsive as in windows.
