Which candidate would be the best president and why?

Postby nietzsche on Sun Apr 22, 2012 2:22 am

I'm curious.

WE RESERVE THE RIGHT OF ADMISSION, pimpdave not allowed in this thread.

I have no clue. I'm looking for answers like: "Candidate A because he will declare war to Canada and we will keep their oil." <- obviously retarded those sort of answers I'd like to hear.

Nietzsche, you really don't already know the answer to this? Which candidate stood before the house of Representatives in the middle of the housing bubble, and warned that federal reserve policies were going to cause a massive economic collapse if congress didn't stop them? In other words, who actually knows wtf is going on? That is all.

If Ralph Nader was running I would probably vote for him, again.

Also... if I were to make a list of 100 Candidates for President Mitt Romney
would not be on it. Obama might, but even that would require some thought,
as it's quite possible neither major party would be represented.

Morgan Freeman, clearly. Whatever kind of news he'd have to deliver he would seem reassuring, yet determined.

He could tell everyone that all of our crops failed, and the collective response would be "Good, we've been meaning to invest more into revolutionizing the agriculture industry. I'll be hungry for Morgan <3"

That was awful, but in Morgan's voice, I'd buy it.

Neither Obama nor Romney would make my list of truly "good" candidates. The Green Party has put up some decent folks, but I don't think they are even flying a presidential candidate this year. (wouldn't win if they did, anyway)

I prefer Obama, mostly because anyone who tries to claim Obama has ruined our economy and should be blamed for high gas prices has too little knowledge of the presidency or economics to be put into office. .. and while I don't consider the healthcare reform act the "solution", I don't want it completely repealed, either. Plus... anyone who feels they have the right to dictate a woman's personal health issues is either ignorant of woman's helath issues or a bully who just does not care about real woman's health.

This along with QUILTBAG issues is why I'm voting Obama over Romney.

I found this chart from THE INTERNET, however, I slightly doubt its accuracy on two points: (a) Romney may or may not say he's for a balanced budget amendment, but every GOP candidate in history has said that and there's no balanced budget amendment, (b) presumably Romney's opposition to Obamacare is just for political points since Obamacare was modeled after Romneycare. Were you to take those two things into account, then it appears a Romney/Obama choice comes down to whether you like chocolate or vanilla in your cone.

I don't know how to interpret the stops and gos on that chart. It's a little vague, and can I use it in the bedroom?

I think stop is "yes" or go is "no" -- or the other way around, maybe? IDK - blame THE INTERNET.
