I'm more curious as to what Christians would think of someone who believed in the story of Mithra.

I'm not trolling, I'm totally serious (considering how the last couple of comments touched upon the whole "man-made/fake" thing).

Glad you asked. I have actually dealt with this between the post on page 6 of this thread: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=169243&p=3697997#p3697997 and another aspect of your question in the "Men, Women, Arguments and Religion" thread where I specifically mention Mithras. You could do with just the post on page 9 that I will link to, but if you are interested, you might want to go back to page 4, or even page three where the Penn Jillete "image" we are talking about appears, for background on the page 9 post.
