Actually, I've gone back through everything again (particularly day 1 and 2) and I am firmly of the opinion that it is scummy to lynch avowed townies without a good reason. And I believe that there's no good reason to lynch Vodean or Clever.

But I've gone back and re-looked at the case on Jak. Just because he's masoned with Doom doesn't make that a bad case. Plenty of mafia masons out there. And even if he's third party at leasst that's more expendable than town. So, if there is a value on retesting this on someone other tan Everywhere then let's retest on Jak.

yeah, hippo, i agree. lets kill off proven (essentially, due to a lack of counter-claim against these TWO individuals) town power-roles. that makes a lot of sense. Oh, wait. no, it doesnt, unless you are scum. perhaps still clever's scummbuddy, defending him? could be that you are a mafia hider. that would explain why you didnt do anything N1, and also why you havent shown up as scum for anyone else.

I will say this about Hippo, he never dissapoints. Just when you think he is a rational being by doing all the right things in presenting a case he says or does somthing completely contrary.

I tend to beleive Hippo is Town. I do not beleive that Mafia would write word for word a summery of player interactions the way he has. I have used it at times to catch up with events myself.

For the life of me I do not understand why we keep blathering away and have not voted. If a VT is lost this early in game it is no loss. Do we need to keep drawing people out to claim until we get a Vanilla Townie that is an agreeable lynch or a Power role?

A possible priest role is exposed, which again is no better then a VT if not worse.

VTs are expendable because if played right they hopefully sniff out scum or draw a mafia night kill, which is one reason I voted Clever over Vodean a while back. The less talked about function is that besides the blow to a player ego their death helps raise the probobility that mafia are caught.

yeah, i was agreeing with all hippo said lately, but this last post, really? no good reason to lynch vodean or clever, a vt claim is rock solid? and trinity a possible scum?? I don't know if you've seen the movie, i don t remember, but she's a main character from the good guys, just after neo and at the same level as morpheus (rip). If it hasn't been counterclaimed, doom and jak are 100% town masons, the flavour would just make absolutely no sense, just like that accusation and that clearing out.

I'm ok with the test on clever, because i think he deserves a lynch anyway after all what happened on day 3 with him (continuously sheeping, skimming, overly afraid of a lynch being a vt... i don't trust him and the chances he is scum are way higher than a priest role..)

And as far as I am aware I have not backed off the everywhere lynch yet, so I still don't really know what you are getting at.

same here. don't get your reasoning doom, with 4 vts not to even kill 1. lynches are our only weapon, mostly with our vigilante killed.
