I believe so, yes. In my view, it would be different if the guy had advised her of that position BEFORE having sex, but telling her that after the act is...well...a bit late in the game, as they say. To me, that's just the guy trying to get out of it.

There's also the argument (not one that I would make, but I recognize that it has some validity) that the guy IS just as responsible for creating the child as the woman, and so should uphold his responsibility.

Your scenario states that you tell her AFTER you have sex that you do not want to get involved. So she did not know from the outset that you didn't want a child as you claim.

So while you don't need to necessarily be "involved" in your child's life, you are 100% still responsible for support.

i'm not sure that she knew "at the outset" that you didn't want a child.

if you only told her that after you had sex, then you are partially responsible for the child.

if you told her that before you had sex, and she still went through with it (knowing there was a chance that she would get pregnant), then you shouldn't be responsible for the child.
