In a free society, you definitely can exercise your right to free speech, provided that it's not fraudulent. If that's what you mean by "oppose it," then go ahead.

In a free society, could you "oppose it" by appealing to some court which would prohibit the distribution of Obama ads within their jurisdiction? Most likely not, it would depend on the constitution of the political union--assuming there would even be a political union.

But anyway, you would certainly have the right to condemn it verbally and encourage others to not donate to Obama, as long as you aren't coercing people (i.e. using violence or initiating harm against others, in that sense).

Right. And verbally is the way I oppose it as you can tell with my posts throughout this thread, I have no intention to look for any kind of legal recourse on this. With that said, you would obviously agree with me that Timminz was wrong in his quote, correct?

I thought he was being facetious. Is it wrong to be funny? I don't think so! :D

See post below your. No facetious, he is serious. You can say you disagree with him and that you think he is wrong, it's ok.

Ain't cognitive dissonance grand!

Actually I'm using my freedom of speech to call it the tackiest way to donate. I am not saying he shouldn't do it for legal reasons nor am I trying to say that he doesn't have the freedom to do so, I'm saying that he shouldn't have stooped this low. I think he is trying to figure out what to do now that he doesn't have all the hyped up obama-bots behind him. He still has a lot of support but it isn't the die-hard support from 4 years ago.

Also, I don't think of it as your team or my team, I think of it as who is going to be running this country and are they able to do it without putting us further in the hole.

When you mentioned cognitive dissonance being grand, were you bragging about your thought process?

ITT: timminz thinks that disliking something is the same as wanting it to be illegal

but to be fair, that's the way most statists think
