Joining
There are 120 teams in the FBS division of College Football. With me taking my beloved Alabama Crimson Tide, that leaves 119 other teams for you guys to fight over. However, it is first come, first serve. If you do not get the team you want, no crying, no pouting, and no begging me to change it. You've got to sign-up as fast as you can if you want your favorite team.
Speaking of signing up, when you sign up, please put the following in your post:
Team that you want to be
Home map and settings
There will be a 20 round limit to each game that is played.
Now you might also be thinking: Can freemiums join? Of course! However, you must be willing to give all your slots to the tournament once it starts. There will be 4 games per week, one for each quarter of a football game. Overtime will be used as necessary. If you are not willing to give all slots, do not sign up.
NOTE: We are accepting 10 players to play as FCS teams. Please state that you wish to be an FCS team in your post when you sign up for an FCS team.
Scoring
As mentioned above, there is a scoring system for the games. In football, there are 4 quarters, so each game represents one quarter. Here's the scoring chart for the tournament:
The 11 points you see in game 4 of the Alabama Baylor matchup is the 9 points + a safety. To achieve the bonus, you must win 3 games out of the 4.
At the end of all games, the scores will be tallied, and the winner of the matchup declared.
Neutral Site & Bowl Games
Neutral site games may occur on schedules (For example, the first game in the Alabama season is Michigan, which will be a neutral site game). These neutral site games will be played on random maps, with standard settings.
Bowl games are handed out at the end of the season to all eligible teams. To be eligible, your team must have won at least 6 games in the season. The bowl games will be played on random maps, with the standard settings.
End of Season
Starting at Week 7, I will begin to release a ranking based on the team's RPI, along with the one based off of the records of teams, coupled with PF and PA (Points Forced and Points Allowed). At the end of the season, the top 16 teams will be placed in a 16 team bracket. The team that wins the entire bracket will be declared the BCS National Champion.
Once a team has been eliminated from the bracket, they play a consolation bowl game. This will be one of the major bowls in college football.
What if I'm Scheduled to Play an FCS Team?
In the event that you are scheduled to play an FCS team, you will play one of the FCS players.
