I can think of LOTS of reasons NOT to vote for him but am having trouble coming up with a single reason to vote for him.

Nice try. The issue is not whether Obama fulfilled some candy-dream list of ideals, the issue is not even really did he do better than the other side would have, given the exact same circumstances. The issue is whether he would do better than the opponent he actually faces.

So far, all Romney has offered is a reaturn to even harsher "trickle down", to take far, far more away from the middle class, give far, far more to the upper class (yep, look through all his "cuts"... he won't touch the taxes for the wealthy, but is more than happy to cut every last dollar spent on every other program upon which people depend.).

But hey, since when have you really cared about facts?

Wake up, it's late. The issue is: can we take four more years of failed leadership? Four more years of blame the other party. Four more years of trickle down socialism.

Hands down, he is the worst president in my lifetime. But you continue to ignore the FACTS: high unemployment, rising prices, ineffective bailouts, government takeover of healthcare, taking 500 billion out of Medicare to pay for said healthcare,

I'm ......soooo in debt to you (I can sing too)

But hey, since when have you stopped twisting the facts?

And I'm learning the Arabic language as we speak, does that make me a proponent of al-Qaeda's or the Taliban's ideology? Which evil MIddle Eastern group am I 100% backing for learning their language? I must be a KKK or IRA member then, since they know that language as well? I want to learn French as well, so I guess that means I am a flag-waver for Le Pen's party?

Obama has been fondling and tapping the taint of Al-Qada and the Muslim Brotherhood so hard and so often that your study of the language of Osama Bin Laden and our terrorist enemies actually makes you a patriot now.

So that's why Obama killed bin Ladin - to please Al Qaeda. I wondered! Glad you were here to point that out to me.

My turn now Greecepwns. For Obama's spiritual advisor, who does Obama choose? A MARXIST! inb4 "oh, yeah but there is a guy that Obama appointed somewhere else that is not a Marxist....sooooo....they cross each other out!?"

Nothing can cross out appointing a Marxist. Only a Marxist would appoint a Marxist.

"Are you then calling for the redistribution of the wealth in society?"
Obama's advisor, Wallis "Absolutely! Without any hesitation! That's what the Gospel is ALL ABOUT!"

Obama heard this and jumped out of his seat and said "I WANT THAT GUY AS MY SPIRITUAL ADVISOR!"

I'm not sure you understand the point of the "inb4" meme.

It's for catching someone else before an inevitable response by a third party. Using it within your own post, referring to your own post, is indicative of trolling. You knew what what was wrong with your post, caught yourself out on it, and replied sarcastically to the criticism you yourself posted.

It's possible that you're trolling yourself at this point.

Prove that a priest can possibly be a Marxist.

In other words, prove that a priest believes in the abolition of religion.

I voted for other. As someone who has been a hardcore weightlifter and also a runner - I enjoy pain and Obama will cause more pain than any other candidate.

I started lifting weights in High School to improve my running (strength helps middle distance runners)...running was my soft drug...weightlifting was my heroin. I went directly from running to weightlifting, although for one year I did both. I can't lift at all without lifting too hard (at my age I should not push like I did 10 years ago it could lead to stroke/heart attack ect).

If you're a fan of the healthcare plan he implemented, that would be a good reason. (I'm not, but I know some who are.)

I'm also not sure how you reached this conclusion, since three people (the largest number) voted for "he has turned the economy around". Does their vote not count as giving a reason?

Acquire a clue, my dude. Several people have posted reasons to vote for Obama. My earlier post in this thread encapsulated my own reasons, and in response you barfed up a scattershot diatribe that looked like the rough draft of a Romney Super PAC ad on a shoestring budget.

To coin a phrase, don't believe the lies. Mr. Obama's first term was not stellar; no one is more aware of that than those of us who were True Believers in '08. That doesn't preclude him from being the best of the viable candidates. It's clear from your slanted poll options and responses that you had already drawn your conclusions when you posted the thread, but springing a "GOTCHA! THERE ARE NO GOOD REASONS" trap on people who happen to hold a different political philosophy than you isn't impressive, it's ridiculous.

You'll notice that jay changed the goal posts: now he claims nobody can post a "single decent reason" to vote for Obama. Adding that qualifier means that when people tell him their reasons, he can dismiss them out of hand as not being sufficient.

Barack Obama isn't just the greatest President in the history of America, he's the greatest leader of any nation in any time.

No Josef Stalin was the greatest leader of any nation at anytime - just read the literature on it.

In case you missed it, all the poll options were sarcasm. If anyone actually believes that the economy is turned around they need their head examined.

What has he done in 4 years???? BESIDES put us so far in debt your great grandchildren will be paying it.

By "decent reason" I meant NOT things like, "he's black", "he's not Romney" or "He has a "D" next to his name" but most responses fell into these categories. He is a failure as a president not unlike W. Bush. (Bush failed with the wars but at least he cut taxes which expire soon and Obama will not extend)

Ah, except the REAL question isn't whether the economy has turned, its whether Obama made things better or worse.

The truth about the stimulus, for example, is that it did work. But, its not that sexy to say "we slowed losses".

All that Romney is putting forward is more trickle down.. well, it ain't good stuff that trickles down. If you want what is best for AVERAGE people, rather than just the wealthy, then Obama is the only choice. Its not a great choice, no, but it is the only choice.
