If you're in school (primary or secondary) for your first degree, you're ok to live at home.
If you've gotten your primary school degree and aren't in secondary school, you should be working and paying rent and/or living on your own.

This is an exact representation of my beliefs.

I essentially agree but would allow for about a year after getting the first degree as the job finding period.
Other than that get your own house. I'd rather live in a box on the side of the road than my parents' houses at this point.

I don't understand how can people accept to live under other people's rules where you live once you're an adult... saxi gave the example of italy but it s the same thing in spain, and it's not going to get better as over 50% of people 20-35 are unemployed there.

Maybe the difference between Mexico and Spain and in general Europe is that houses are a bit bigger here?
A Korean friend was showing me pictures of her family and I made the stupid question, "why does your family live in a small apartment?", that came out of my mouth without thinking, and she was ashamed. I had seen her go shopping and she would spend a lot of money on fancy clothes, I thought she was rich. Being an stupid knowing nothing Mexican I assumed she lived in a big house. I was watching in tv the other day that a very small apartment in Japan can cost up to 2 million dollars. With 2 million dollars you build a big ass mansion in Mexico. And I mean BIG.
The only problem I encounter with living with my mom and sister is that if I want to bring a girl to sleep here I do it from the back door lol.
