Sorry, I'm more apt when my vote is going in with the others in my state. If my vote was going in with all others in the entire union, I'd probably sit out.

Wow, this is not something I had considered.
You mean if it was a popular vote you wouldn't bother? What's your rationale behind this? I would think that your vote would matter more if it were a popular vote, considering swing states are in the minority.

There's around 3 million people registered in my state. There's about 150 million registered in the union. I feel my vote makes more of a difference as there is much more likely a tie in my always blue state than a tie across the entire union.

Also, remember how ugly the Florida recount was? How bad would it be if it was a NATIONAL recount? It'd be damn near impossible. District by District voting on the other hand would be a completely different story when it comes to recounting.

Hmm. I'm not saying your stance is right or wrong It's just totally not one that I had imagined. I suppose if you live in a swing state your vote does matter more than it would in a popular vote but the difference is like the difference between winning a lottery containing 5 million names as opposed to one containing 250 million. While this seems a big difference numerically its not really a perceptible one to a single person as a voter. Right?

Agreed. And if I lived in a more populated state such as Cali, New York, or Texas; I may feel more of a desire to sit out there than I do here.

I guess my thought is only once the popular vote was different than the electoral vote so isn't it better to keep it as is; or bring it down a level to the districts rather than bring it the other direction and throw us all into one giant pool.

Plus I feel that in order to have a president elected, they should have a majority of whatever voting system there is, this does not always happen with the popular vote whereas the electoral vote it is almost a guarantee.

Grief, Horror, throughout the developing world at Obama's enthronement. Anti-American Anger at All-Time High Over Reelection of the Butcher of Balochistan.

"The same person who attacked my home has gotten re-elected," he told Reuters in the capital, Islamabad, where he fled after the attack on his village in South Waziristan, one of several ethnic Pashtun tribal areas on the Afghan border.

"Since yesterday, the pressure on my brain has increased. I remember all of the pain again."

"Whenever he has a chance, Obama will bite Muslims like a snake. Look at how many people he has killed with drone attacks," said Haji Abdul Jabar, whose 23-year-old son was killed in such a bombing.

Obama authorized nearly 300 drone strikes in Pakistan during his first four years in office, more than six times the number during the administration of George W. Bush, according to the New America Foundation policy institute.

But for Mohammad Khan, who is not related to the former cricketer, the damage is already done.

The February 2009 drone attack that destroyed his home left him as the main provider for 13 family members, forcing him to move to Islamabad and work with a real estate company.

Mmm, yes. I'm sure if Romney had been elected they would suddenly love Americans.
