Games should be joined within three invites. Failure to do so will result in being replaced.
Groups for Round 1 will be assigned using random.org. In subsequent rounds all players will be seeded according to their total score. Players with the same total score will be seeded in alphabetical order.
In Round 1 any dropouts will be replaced by reserves. In subsequent rounds any dropouts will be replaced by the highest-scoring player who was eliminated in the previous round.
When I rescued the tournament after Round 1, instead of eliminating the 12 lowest scoring players overall, I eliminated the 12 lowest scoring players who told me they were not continuing or who did not get back to me when I asked if they were still in. The other players who dropped out after Round 1 were replaced by reserves from the top of the scoreboard down, then all remaining players were bumped up to fill all remaining spots. All tiebreaks will be decided by who scored the most points in that round. If players are still tied, count-back will come into effect.
If players are still tied after that, they will be grouped together and will replay the round with the same scoring. The player(s) earning the most points from these games will go through to the next round. Points from these games will not count outside of that particular tiebreak. Scores on individual maps play no role in tiebreaking. Tiebreaker games will only be used to determine eliminations. Tied players whose elimination or advancement is guaranteed will be sorted by alphabetical order.
