Shut up. Just let this thread die. You Americans have been beaten on here too many times.
Well as a guy points out in this link you have Pete Townsend and possibly the beatles.GustavusAdolphus wrote:Titanic wrote:GustavusAdolphus wrote:Ah, Europeans and their suppressed inferiority complexes... gotta love it.

Right. Americans suck, we have no culture, everyone hates us, I get it. But you're still a dumbass!
Also, you can never ever change the fact that Pete Townshend made rock music what it is today, he's part of the American Culture in Music. He created a Rock Opera like no other and he help create a Rock Group that will go down in history as one of the Great bands, right up there with The Beatles.

And it's cower - not "coward". "Patriotist"?? WTF!? That's not even a word! You know, it really doesn't look good when you attempt to act mentally superior, and can't attain to a 5th grade level in spelling and word usage. Cheers.

I spelt arguament in exactly the same way you did, retard. Also, so what if I used a word in the wrong place, get over it. You know what I meant. If you didn't, you are extremely dumb. Also, American and European should have capital letters at the beggining.
If thats the only comeback you can make, you really should refrain from posting.
Also, I do not need to prove my mental capability, the last 30 odd pages of debate is my proof. I have, with the help of others, beaten off any valid debate from the Americans, and have yet to lose. As I said earlier, you are just hiding behind childish because your intellect is just too low to sustain an educated debate backed up by evidence.
Finally, kind of rich for an American to preach to an English on how to use spelling and grammar in the English language....

Um..no..I never said that. I'm just saying that the Europeans have beaten you in debates in this topic so many times its pointless to start another one. The trend is not about to stop, unless one of you Americans can actually come up with an intellectual arguament, and not coward behind childish insults and patriotist crap.

Francis Scott Key wrote:Oh, say can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines on the stream:
'Tis the star-spangled banner! O long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion
A home and a country should leave us no more?
Their blood has wiped out their foul footstep's pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved homes and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heaven-rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
