Can you not tell the difference between the threads you quoted, and this one?

Am I close?

No. Feel free to continue whatever you're up to here, I'm going to attempt to ignore it. Though I will have no choice but to mock you soon enough.
Later.

It seems like I have a good take on how this thread evolved, and it doesn't seem intelligently designed.

I think the smiley meant I enjoyed your use of "intelligently designed", but you should probably ask a professor of smiliology.................

Eh, you've got me all wrong Gillipig. I'm not overly concerned.

I know you aren't, and that's your problem.

There are a number of people in cc (and elsewhere, but this won't reach them) who doubt the whole evolution thing. They get ridiculed and lots of of people fling stuff at them, they fling stuff back, nobody gets anywhere.
One thing which doesn't normally come to the fore is where these people stand. It seems to me that they don't all stand together, although they do seem to provide substantially the same backing for their opinion (mainly the Bible and various evo-doubter websites).
But some believe God made everything just like in Genesis, in 6 days, etc etc. Others say no, the universe is billions of years old, but not man - or "days" means something else. Some say all good christians will be taken up in the "rapture", others say the Bible doesn't say that at all. Some think aliens and angels are the same thing. And so forth.
I thought it would be instructive for everybody, including the evo-doubters themselves, to see how much common ground they actually have, and to explain to each other why their own stance is the correct one. Without a bunch of atheists (like, admittedly, myself) whacking them around the head from a "Science is good, science is true, you guys are full of crap" point of view.
