The correct pronunciation for I.A. comes from a poetry contest held by a famous sci-fi magazine publication where the sci-fi author was supposed to be the last thing in the poem. The poem written for I.A. involved skinny dipping.

My first Asimov book as a very young child was "The Moon." I still have it today in the basement. Come to think of it I was only 6 when this children's book came out in 1967.
