Maybe it's just me but the jets in the corner seem a bit... tacky.

Yeah, they are out of place. Pick something France is known for.

(1) Yes; when I think battle map of France, I automatically think Middle Ages. (British invasion, Joan of Arc, you know.)

Knights would be a great image.

(2) And a fleur-de-lis, a French lily somewhere, perhaps in the ocean outside Bordeaux, is an absolute must.

If it doesn't clash with other colors, the lily should be a royal purple.

(3) How about a Loire river dividing Normandie and Bretagne?

(4) And a final thought is that the tricolore is a rather recent invention in the many centuries of French history. Its bright colors don't work that well in the word FRANCE on the map. Well, at least not to me. Something more medieval would be great. A text that looks like it is made of wood, perhaps.

Great idea by the way, will love to play it when it is done.

so i explain it:

see the circles thats where the borders are wrong, and you have that in nearly every country

i dont see what the problem is your just giving this guy alot of more work to do and i dont think that while playing a game of risk your going to be wondering what the borders look like and not the game

y is there 2 maps of france in the works?

personally i think kyle's france map is visually superior in everyway, but i like u terr borders and names better than his.

y dont u 2 just coop on the reverend_kyle map? u could take the best of both maps (kyle's graphics and colours and fonts, and ur map's borders and names) together and make a kik ass france map that the french wouldnt think of complaining about.

EDIT sorry, i meant kyle not DiM, been reading too many maps, got all the map makers confused
