The one on my list of 26 unique colours including codes. Pretty much a shade of maroon.

Auburn could also work. I wouldn't be opposed to that.

Yeah the current maroon might even it.

When I found that color code, the tag next to it was "indianred".

So you're going to make it i? Then m can be mauve later in 22 player games.

I looks too much like a 1 and should probably be avoided.

Some options -
current color

possible replacement names
A for auburn
A for raspberry
K for brick
H for mahogany
D for burgundy

Brick actually seems pretty close...and if there is another player expansion, a lot more colors have A than K so it'd be easier in the long run.

I think b for brick is too easy to confuse with b for blue.

I think auburn cd5c5c (a) is best.

Then you can still write mahogany-amber-maroon-burgundy-raspberry-brick in your game chats.

Gilligan-[team] "Break mahogany-amber-maroon-burgundy-raspberry-brick's bonus."
Your partner [team] "wut?"
Gilligan- [team] "you know a as in mahogany-amber-maroon-burgundy-raspberry-brick. Gilligan- [team] Because there's a letter a in that colour."
Your partner [team] "wut?"

K for brick, not b.

As I posted on the other page, auburn is quite a bit darker than the current color.

current color
A for auburn

current color
K for brick

As far as general colors, brick is closer to our color than auburn. Auburn is more brown, while brick is more red. I think that our color is a bit more red than brown.

I've been talking about the M that we have. I thought that you knew it, because I said that we could use D for Drab instead of olive.

The letter M is a bit too wide for some army circles. Having a shorter letter would make making maps easier and reading some current maps.

Gilligan wrote:2dimes, I'm talking about colorblind people trying to relay yellow to olive or purple. While it would be good to have the first letter of each color, I think that helping people play the game comes before that.

I think making the names for the colors easy to relate to helps the game because everyone will know who cyan is in game chat color blind or not.
What if we did this, keeping the same colors:

Red
Green
Blue
Yellow
Pink
Cyan
Orange
Silver
Violet (instead of pUrple)
Neon (instead of limE)
Auburn or Maroon
Drab (instead of oliVe)

Rename neutrals since actual neutrals would never attack. They can be w for white.

Red
Green
Blue
Yellow
Pink
Teal
Orange
Silver
Violet
Chartreuse
Auburn
Drab
Neutral

Remember that W and M are too wide for army circles.

They are different words for the same thing. Synonyms.

One could use the colour code "v" the other appears to use the colour code, "u"?

Alright, so lets use V for Violet. (By the way, this was already brought up, during the thought process).

What letter do we use for olive?

Use 'o', and just rename the current orange to tangerine.

Renaming teal I think makes more sense cause people call it that already anyway.

Or T for turquoise? That's more accurate than teal.

Maybe.
White is never going to have more than 99 armies is it? I don't know how the auto player's bonuses work.

Just one number can make it a hassle. Look at this image.

The 1 on Astana is overlapping with the army circle, and isn't totally readable at a glance. Whereas you can see p, e, y, s, and g all fit nicely in the circle.

This is still why I think the current lettering is fine, after the M get changed to something smaller.

R, G, B, Y, P, C, O, S, U, E, M, V.

Letters that you can use, or are new with this update: a, d, e, f, h, q, t, u, v, x, z

Ideally...we don't change the first 8 colors code. I don't believe the admins will go for it since it's been this way for over 7 years.
