Worst set of penalties I've ever seen. I had mixed emotions about the game because I really like Poyet but I don't like all the shit given to Man Utd, undeservingly. I'm happy Poyet and his squad went through though.

Yes, Mata is going to Utd for £37mil.

I didn't watch the match but I'm not surprised by the result. Well, the pens misses yes but not that Sunderland went through... do you know Utd have only scored 4 goals in their last 3 shootouts?

I think Mata will be a great buy but Utd could buy 7 more world class player and Moyes still wouldn't be good enough to win anything.

Good luck to Sunderland though, although I think City will be more respectful to them after Wigan beat them last season.

yeah, it's pretty bad for radamel, sorry about this... he might make it just on time though. He scored just before getting injured. In november december, they basically gave him some time off so he wouldn't get any injury as there was something not looking good in his knee... and there you go!
Paris got kicked out by montpellier and and marseille by Nice from the french cup.... no triplet possible for paris anymore! (they are in the league cup semi finals and i think they will win the league cup though, but no one has ever managed the triplet in france and Paris said they would go for it this year)

and memo ochoa, do you even watch highlights of his games nietzsche? he's really not that good.

Mata to Man U from Chelsea, tactical reasons it seems to cause Arsenal and Man City trouble in the title race.

Chelsea have also picked up Salah from FC Basel, under Liverpool's noses.

Good purchase, him and Stocker were running rings around Chelsea in Europe and Spurs last season too.

Oh, and bye bye Rosell. Apparently Neymar did cost more than 100M and he lied and now that the judge has accepted the case, he says goodbye.

The suit started by a Barca "socio" or shareholder.

And all the while people were saying that Florentino lied to his shareholders saying that signing Neymar would cost RM 150M, 40 of which would go to Barcelona for rights. Turns out Florentino's numbers were right all along.

I already told you i didn t like his style. He s got very good reflexes for sure, but nowadays keepers need to be much better with their feet and much better anticipating airballs.
Ajaccio is last of the ligue1, and are by far the worse team.

Of course they were! Seriously, how stupid does he think people are? 57 millions for Neymar??? Only 17 for Santos?? Absolutely ridiculous and bellow market price. The negociations lasted like 2 full seasons as well. His market price was obviously around 100 millions.
All this is fiscal evasion. Some big shit is banging at barƧa s door I can tell you!

Already played twice... Wenger was complaining saying it wasn't fair that they could sell him after playing Utd twice while Utd had to play City and Arsenal again. I used to like Wenger but he has turned into a little cry baby over the past 5 seasons.

lol; no but I like him in the sense that he's fun to watch, but I wouldn't like him as the keeper of my team, wouldn't feel safe... like a chilavert or a campos or a higuita or rogelio ceni... these south american keepers are real show men, but too weird for us europeans! ;)

Ochoa is far from being like them. In fact, if Ochoa had Campos ability to read the ball in the air he'd be in a top team now. But Casillas is not very good in that either, and he plays for RM.

he played extremely well that game!
but that's not the point. I'm not questioning the fact that he is able to make tons of exceptional saves in the same match, but the problem he has is with corners, fouls or just when someone centers... he is pretty bad when he has to go far from the cage. He is not very complete, that's what I mean. He makes some crazy saves, but then he can take quite a few goals that are 100% his fault.

bah, how can you compare Casillas with Ochoa, seriously?

How can you not? They have very similar qualities. Only Casillas yells more and has more leadership. Casillas is not that good with the ball in the air either. He's good in the small area.

But Ocha is definetely better than De Gea. How many chances will they give to De Gea? He has fucked up plenty already.

i haven't seen de gea enough to compare, i barely see united games. He looked promissing at the atletico though. Casillas is a very complete keeper, he's been the best in the world at some point. He's much better than Valdez in my opinion. And look at his titles, almost all of them being captain of the real or the national team.
Ochoa is the keeper of the worse team of ligue 1 and he's already 28. If he was half as talented as Casillas, do you think he'd be still playing for Ajaccio? seriously? And you want me to have serious football conversations when you are always so biaised?

Better than De Gea, as the Frenchman puts it... are you on crack?

De Gea has made mistakes, was poor in the air when he joined Utd but he has learned a lot since then and is turning into a top goal keeper.

He was a big reason why Utd won the league last year.

Did you see Casillas when he was young? He was very good in the small area, good in reflexes as you put it but he was a nightmare in the corners. Casillas grew a lot with time, but he has never achieved the level of Bufon or Cech in his good times.

Yes, as you point out Ochoa is 28 already and hasn't learned how to tackle the ball in the air, when he was in Mexico at times it seemed like he was starting to do it and then 2 games later you'd seen him stay put in a ball he could've gotten to.

I remember talking with a friend, we both are RM fans, and we both agreed that Casillas left much to be desired in the corners or when the ball was in the air, and we thought Oswaldo Sanchez, a mexican goalie back then in his best was much better than Casillas. Unfortunately, Oswaldo was such an icon in Mexico that he was payed very well and did a lot of advertising as well, so he never had the need to go and play in Europe.

I aslo disliked Casillas attitude, at his best, towards his defenders. He recriminated too much in a bad way, I like goalies that talk but I like them to talk to wake up his teamates and get them fired up to defend, and Casillas used to make recrimination and faces all the time, like saying you all suck and if it wasn't for me we'd be lost.

All that said, he was an excellent keeper, and he's recovering some level now. Only Mourinho would have had the balls to sit him, and time proved Mou right.

Memo Ochoa has very similar abilities than Iker, although never reached the peak that Casillas once reached, but I've seen Ochoa make miracles, sometimes reaching Oswaldo's level.

And I've seen De Gea make plenty of mistakes, he was supposed to be very very good, but I haven't seen it. Perhaps it's that his mistakes are made notorious by the press since I don't watch Man UTD's games week after week.

Memo Ochoa has never had the chance to play in a big team in Europe, going to Ajjacio was a mistake, only because he wanted to badly to play in Europe he took the job, but I bet my ass he'd be making more money in Mexico.

ajaccio is a small town, the capital of corsica, but it has like 60 000 inhabitants or so.. yet it has 2 professional teams. corsicans are crazy about football, and corsican fans are a bunch of racist fucks. i hate ajaccio and mostly bastia. Bastia has the worse supporters in france, seriously. Corsicans are independentist assholes anyway.
And yes, he would definitely make much more money in mexico. Ajaccio is going to second division for sure, so he will leave at the end of the season, no doubt. I don't think any french big club would be interested though.
Maybe Lyon has a keeper problem since Lloris left, or Monaco... but I think they would be aiming higher.
The columbian keeper from Nice, David Ospina is much more of my taste (he is James Rodriguez's brother in law by the way, did you know? Nice and Monaco are a few kilometers apart, and james rodriguez's wife/david ospina's sister is a volleyball player)
