I'm fairly certain I didn't give away anything that wasn't in the show. To put it another way, I finished book 3 about 2 years before the show came out.

Not saying any of you gave away stuff. But basically when I get back in this thread there is nothing I can read, it s all within spoilers, so I avoid opening them. This is turning into an advanced book discution.. But then of course season 4 hasn t started yet so there is nothing new..

How are they going to deal with the show once they run out of books though? Will they make up stuff not written by jrr martin?

They're already making stuff up that isn't in the books
I imagine that the telly deal will be a kick up the arse for martin to actually finish the series, although he does have years to go yet

I know that Martin has already discussed how the books are going to end with the show runners. I'm sure he still wants to beat them to the punch though, and there will inevitably be differences between the shows ending and books ending regardless of which comes out first. There have already been changes to the story that have trickle down effects to the over all arcs.

Yes, I ve heard about many twists, even though season 1 was exactly the same from what I heard?

All the twists are rather insignificant for the overall story so far though?

I've only seen the first series, and it was pretty damn accurate.
Everything i've read about the other series it seems to diverge more and more.
There's at least one arc involving two characters that have never even met in the books, but meet very early in the tv version

Who?

Also I ve heard that the whole storyline of rob s wife coming from volantis and pregnant has absolutely nothing to do with the book.

It's a significant re-write of the story-arc that is in the book, but either way it serves the purpose of Robb breaking his betrothal agreement with Walder Frey.

I haven't read past the Red Wedding in the books, so I can't say if it has implications for further stories later on.

There's also Jaime arriving in Kings Landing before Joffrey's wedding but I don't know how that will affect anything.

Robert's bastard is in the book but it's a different bastard that isn't in the show that Melissandre uses for the blood. In the books, the black smith boy stays with the Brotherhood without Banners.

the first episode was ok but nothing incredible happens yet.

Looks like tyrion is getting in more and more trouble, and it's just the begining... one of cersei's sevants just overheard his conversation with shae and I guess cersei will know all about it and get her killed in the next episode...

joffrey's wedding will be awesome, can't wait for all the drama. spending everything while the people are dying of starvation, that will be awesome! :)
wonder if that is on the tyrell agenda... the tyrell girl is doing everything to be popular and you can't be more hated than joffrey, while the lanisters have gold, the tyrells have all the food, and you can't eat gold.

very brave and witty from jon snow to tell all the truth, only way he could get away with it.

ok, this braavos guy... is it me or they changed the actor from season 3? I'm not too sure braavos is the character I remembered now...

arya gets needle back and revenge. where the hell is she heading to actually with the hound? they go north?? wonder who they will run into. they might reach winterfell at some point, and maybe get involved with the boltons at some point..

no bran and rickion this episode. I saw brann in a 13 minute season preview, lol he has turned into such an ugly teenager. arya too actually. they were both very cute as kids in the first season, the actors aren't growing up nicely, haha!

I liked it. When is Tyrion not in trouble? As far as hearing Shae, I am not sure she was close enough to hear the conversation but she was close enough to see it.

Oh it will be good. Was really hoping they would get to it this episode but I guess that was too much to ask for.

Yeah it was a great scene. Janos Slynt (Mr. City Watch) is just as much of a slime as he is in the books.

ok, this braavos guy... is it me or they changed the actor from season 3? I'm not too sure braavos is the character I remembered now...

Definitely changed the actor. Looks nothing like the previous guy (older looking for one thing).

The Hound mentioned Lysa as in Lysa Tully Arryn. He plans to hand Arya over to her aunt for a reward.

Arya looks about like she should considering the book, if a bit older. Honestly, Don't care about Rickon or Bran that much. Their story lines are among the most boring.

uhhh... lysa tully arryn... that doesn't sound really good for arya! why would she accept to go there??? also doesn't look like the hound is hanging out with her just because she's worth much, looks like he has some kind of protective affection for her.

regarding bran; his story line was pretty cool until he became a criple actuallly haha. I thought he would be the main protagonist initially when watching the first episodes.

I'm disappointed Daario was recast. I liked the other actor a lot and this one seems weird.

The Hound is a complicated character. He can be evil or noble in any given situation. as far as sending Arya to her aunt. As far as the Hound knows it's a good idea. They are related so Lysa is as likely to take care of Arya as anyone else in the 7 kingdoms. The only other family she has left is Sansa in Kings Landing and he isn't going back there even if he didn't care about Arya at all or Jon at the wall and even if he safely crossed a thousand miles (I'm actually not sure on the distance) of Freys, Boltons and Greyjoys as well as anyone who might not like to see a Lannister dog running around, the wall is no place for a girl.

I agree there. I just googled it and the previous actor did that because he got a lead role as a younger version of statham in the next transporter movie. What a retard... GOT vs transporter movies??? That s a movie that will be on DVD directly, not sure another of these shit can get distributed.
