Yes! Germany as I said!

No other team has so much talent as Germany. Not even Argentina.

There's that team that just got routed but who is so good in terms of talent that neither Torres nor Villa nor Fabregas makes it to the starting lineup. If you want to talk talent, Spain is still the most talented team, they just haven't shown their talent in this WC so far.

The little slap in the jaw was nothing, after the taunt & head butt
the German player jumped right up --forgetting about his "injury"
completely-- and they had a little verbal dust up.

USA isn't cocky or overconfident... just optimistic.
A poll I saw didn't have Americans picking USA Team
going far, but the whupping Portugal just took sure
improves their chances of surviving Group D.

I think it s just you.

Anyway, i agree those are indexes, he is asking muller to get back up on his feet and stop whinning.
Impressive germany, the most impressive so far. The US have a chance vs portugal... But they need to beat ghana first and it won t be easy.

Think Portugal just had an off day, expect them to bounce back against America. Pepe will be back for the Ghana game, right?

you still have to beat ghana before thinking of portugal. if you don't beat ghana you guys are pretty much out of the world cup.
portugal losing against germany was expected, germany finishes first in that group in everyone's books.

Torres was a sub for Chelsea, Fabregas was widely criticized this season for Barca and Villa is headed for the MLS. Xavi is too headed for the MLS, Xabi Alonso showed signs of tiredness towards the end of the season, not playing as well as the first part of the season. That's the thing with Spain in this WC, it's players aren't at their best.

You were talking about talent, and now you're talking about current form, they are not one and the same. Surely you would not claim that Torres, Villa and Fabregas do not possess world class talent?

4 years ago yes, now only Fabregas. Germany and Argentina have the two strongest teams at the WC. That's the final I'm hoping for.

Was always 3 for me, not over yet but predicted Spain would get dumped out at the group stage a long time before the Holland game. Would be 2 if Brazil weren't at home or didn't have Neymar.

Germany is the most complete package though... only Colombia have a good goalkeeper out of all the S. American teams.

Not sure if you guys saw it on Facebook but someone had a £5 accumulator for Italy, Ivory Coast, Germany, Switzerland and Costa Rica to win, only problem being every team in all the games had to score. Portugal let him down! He would've won £26k. If he cashed in before the Germany game he would've won £4.5k - he didn't. I think he made the right move, a 4-0 stomping was definitely unexpected and it wasn't out of the question for Ronaldo to pull of a goal.

Portugal will still go through second unless Ghana go mad. I'm rooting for them against USA.

I'd love for Chile to hold a draw against Spain and simply lose by less than four goals against Netherlands. Then it's goodbye the cocky Spain and time to welcome my second best team in work's sweepstake to the second round!

Germany are the most talented team, not Spain. Their system is just so solid - the full package like trevor said. Agreed with Brazil as well. I'm agreeing with trevor a lot, scary.

Ha! Just checked the ESPN fantasy predictor thing we did... no one picked Germany as the eventual winner, 3 for Argentina. A few of us do have Germany in the final though.

A friend of mine works for a betting site; some dude made some combos in the preparation games on the exact scores... He combined 5 exact scores that were all pretty unexpected with 0.66€ and won freaking 170k€!! The dude was in africa, rwanda if i remember well. They were pretty pissed and never saw anything like that.

if chile manages to get a draw against spain, i'm willing to bet anything they'll agree to draw vs the dutch too. with a draw between them in the final game, it won't matter what spain does vs australia as the chileans and the dutch will both qualify.

You keep on forgetting that the second will face brazil and that netherlands always play their third group stage game at 100%. I m taking that bet.
