Oh, you're right. China annexing Tibet, violating the souvereign waters of its neighbours, and actively supporting a North-Korean tiranny in its seperation from its southern historical compatriotes just to say "f*ck you western world" is not selfish and militaristic abuse at all.![]()

Yep, good job hitting one of the places that does NOT have ISIS forces and has been actively fighting AGAINST ISIS.

Russians are targeting locations they identify as ISIS locations, I wont be surprised if US didn't classify those locations as ISIS locations, after all US are bombing ISIS for over a year with absolutely no success, and Obama claims it will take 30 years to defeat ISIS.
mrswdk wrote:The Tibet thing has been done on here several times already. Tibet was brought back into the Chinese state at the invitation of Tibet itself. The current tensions in Tibet are nothing to do with independence, they are to do with cultural freedoms. And blah blah blah. All the other things that armchair commentators don't know and are in no hurry to learn about.
But today we have a relatively new angle of attack! Welcome to the party...waauw wrote:actively supporting a North-Korean tiranny in its seperation from its southern historical compatriotes just to say "f*ck you western world"
You are assuming that China continues to provide aid to North Korea, a nation with whom China openly has an increasingly cold relationship with and whom China has supported sanctions against in recent years, purely to irritate America. Which is ridiculous.
The reason China continues to help North Korea get by, despite North Korea eagerly biting the hand that feeds, is because without China's aid North Korea would completely collapse. This would mean millions of refugees pouring across the border into China's north east, and the US/South Korea undoubtedly swooping in to take control of North Korea, which would put American troops on China's border. Given North Korea's enormous army, it would quite likely mean a huge war on China's border, in a country which has nuclear weapons. It is in order to avoid these things that China continues to provide aid to North Korea.
And in any case, providing North Korea with economic and food aid is not an assault on North Korea's sovereignty. China's respect for others upheld, all hail the new world order \(^0^)/
