Did anybody who was bothered by the name, like I was, ask him?

I did and am no longer bothered by the name.

What did he say that stopped you bothering?

I tend to find the glorification of Nazis offensive. I'm not sure what could persuade me otherwise.

yes you would think this is a social media site instead of a gaming site.

He has a point, mate. It's not an either\or thing. There's a social side to the site that's important too. That's why the site has mods and rules specifically governing the community.

Some of then thought that this was an issue, and some didn't. I'm not a huge fan of the move- people who have nothing to add will troll looking for a reaction.

I've spoken with most of the mods involved, with mixed reactions.

It seems like there's a debate worth happening. If you want to contribute, please do so. If you don't, please don't attack those who do.

Bill Bryson's Mother Tongue is a great intro to British accents if you're interested. I'm English, and from the south, and I've lived in a couple of other countries- Japan and the US. My accent is kind of a flat RP. Probably closest to Patrick Stewart on your list.

There's a definite difference between Irish and Northern Irish accents. NI accents have a bit of rumble to them.

The issue of the flag is I think one of symbolic importance. It's a measure of where you stand on whether slavery is right or wrong.

But, yes, you are correct, the idea that the legacy of slavery, and racism, are somehow a thing of the past that modern institutions can ignore now is ridiculous.
