waauw wrote:Typical american christian bullshit. I don't know if you realize it but the prosecution of jews was not a result of secularism. It's a christian tradition dating back more than a thousand years. Back in the middle-ages there was no such thing as secularism. I advise you to read some history books.

First of all, the persecution of Jews was the result of the marginalization of Jews into areas where people didn't want to go or through regulations were prohibited from going into (mostly in this case due to "usury" laws). When they succeeded it was led to the use of others for political gain to "blame" them for the economic problems the people they wanted to lead were experiencing.

Quoting anything from the 18th century, (when secularism was already in full swing) only shows the graduations of secularism. Do you see the same thing in the middle ages? Even with the growing problems of capitalism and the usury laws which only applied to Christians you didn't see extermination solutions.

Socialism has not "moved on" ... that is another myth of the future looking socialists (who renamed themselves "Progressive" in the United States) ... they don't want to look at history because history proves themselves wrong. Instead they only look towards the present; the "history of the NOW."

Bernie, have you been looking around America lately? The rich fat cats LOVE socialism because they control socialism. Do you see everyone in Hollywood as anti socialistic capitalists? Or are these mostly white and horribly rich actors all in support of socialism. Because they know taking the "rich" specifically means not them. Do you think that Socialism is going to tax the shit out of the Clinton's or the Clinton Foundation? Hell no.

I submit that this is the weirdest election since the election of 1912.

I guess that means Trump is playing the role of Teddy Roosevelt.

Dukasaur wrote:The great Democratic Socialist nations of Europe firmly reject communism. It's completely possible to have a hybrid economy, where a free market provides the great engine but there is reasonable agreement that those on the express train leave something behind for those less fortunate. Protestations that a free market and a system of social protection cannot co-exist are pure propaganda, and quite false. Free markets and social services can and have been co-existing perfectly well in many places and at many times.

Communism generally collapses. Socialism generally collapses before the onset of communism. It's like a boy and his rocket; sure, he may have his goal of his rocket hitting the moon, but it runs out of fuel long before it hits the edge of the atmosphere. Hybrid systems don't work. It's like driving with three tires and one flat tire, yes you can move along, but the flat tire drags everything down. But the biggest threat of socialism is not to the "free market." The biggest threat is to the morale of the people. In the end, the free market does squat; the people do everything. When you have the attitude that the government does everything, (which it can't) the people decide that they don't have to to anything. If you want to see the lowest rates of charitable giving, look towards socialist Europe.

The opposite of socialism is actually subsidiarity, the notion that government belongs to the lowest level possible, not the highest. The question is not whether "social protection" but where. The closer it belongs to the people, the more people are motivated to maintain it. Charity gladdens the heart; taxes burdens the heart. Socialist Europe, which came from the dustpile of Secular Europe (which also game us secular capitalism which loves to exploit workers wherever they can find them) is a result of the moral collective guilt of striping the corporate works of mercy from the collective mind; a result that resulted in such wonderful things as the Holocaust and the culture of abortion / euthanasia.

And by the way, the "great Democratic Socialist nations of Europe" generally suck; just saying. If they were considered with the "states" of the United States, they would rank near the bottom of the list, economically speaking. If Sweden and Germany Became US States, They Would be Among the Poorest States

Since Sweden is held up as a sort of promised land by American socialists, let's compare it first. We find that, if it were to join the US as a state, Sweden would be poorer than all but 12 states, with a median income of $27,167.

Median residents in states like Colorado ($35,830), Massachusetts ($37,626), Virginia ($39,291), Washington ($36,343), and Utah ($36,036) have considerably higher incomes than Sweden.

With the exception of Luxembourg ($38,502), Norway ($35,528), and Switzerland ($35,083), all countries shown would fail to rank as high-income states were they to become part of the United States. In fact, most would fare worse than Mississippi, the poorest state.

Hey Sweden! New York called and she said ... "YOU SUCK!"
Hey Sweden! New Jersey called and she said ... "YOU SUCK!"
Hey Sweden! Colorado called and she said ... "YOU SUCK!"

The more you post, the dumber you reveal yourself to be.

Median income has NOTHING to do with wealth, health and happiness. I value my health as number one,and where everything medical is paid for, that goes a long way to happiness. I would rather be healthy and poor than unhealthy and rich.

saxitoxin wrote:IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

As a single-issue voter, I was an early supporter of Lincoln Chafee and, since he dropped out, have not committed to anyone. However, I - saxitoxin - am now officially announcing I am endorsing Donald J. Trump for president in 2016.

Only Candidate, Other than Sanders, to Reject Israeli Claim to Jerusalem - At a Republican Jewish Coalition candidate’s forum in December, Trump demurred when asked if he would recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

Only Candidate, Other than Sanders, to Question Israel's Commitment to Peace - In December, Trump expounded on the Middle East conflict in an interview with the AP. Trump said he was interested in making a “lasting peace,” and that required the commitment of both sides, something he wasn’t sure existed, adding: “I have a real question as to one side in particular.” He declined to specify which side that was, but some understood Trump to be questioning Israel’s commitment more than the Palestinians.

Only Candidate to Reject AIPAC Blood Money - At the RJC forum, Trump was candid that he did not want or expect support from Republican Jewish donors. “You’re not gonna support me because I don’t want your money,” Trump said. “You want to control your politicians, that’s fine.”

Only Candidate Other than Clinton and Sanders to Signal Commitment to Iran Deal - Among his quibbles: Iran got too much money and made no commitment to release American prisoners, and inspections are insufficiently intrusive. But unlike his fellow Republicans, Trump says he would not disavow the deal on Day 1.

    http://www.timesofisrael.com/where-dona ... -the-jews/

That leaves the score:
- Trump - 4 points
- Sanders - 3 points
- Clinton - 1 point
- Cruz, Rubio, Kasich- 0 points

Ha ha! Sucks to be you, Charlie Brown.

Looks like your buddy has bent over and spread his cheeks for AIPAC.

No This is a clear signal that it is not up to the voters at all, this shows that the establishment is going to have who they want, so the elite class doesn't fail, and anyone who thinks billary isn't part of that system is poorly undereducated, or just stupid as shit and get what they deserve.

PERVY CRUZ HAS HAD FIVE AFFAIRS!

The new issue of the infamous tabloid out this week has the SHOCKING CLAIMS that "pervy" Ted Cruz has had at least five mistresses on the side. The tabloid prints five photos, each with a black bar across the eyes of the alleged Cruz lovers, a phrase that doesn't at all feel natural to write.

The juicy details aren't available online, but according to the catnip teasers the National Enquirer has posted, at least one of the women is a "foxy political consultant and a high-placed D.C. attorney."

National Enquirer first broke the story of the John Edwards extramarital affairs that ended up sinking his political career.

Better use of campaign $: robocalls and TV ads, or private investigators?

According to some, three of the five have already been identified.

he Enquirer’s photos paired with those of Katrina Pierson, Sarah Isgur Flores and Amanda Carpenter.

Also interesting:
Twitter users have speculated that a major donation to Carly Fiorina’s campaign was given in response to the sex “scandal.”

Sarah Isgur Flores served as Carly Fiorina’s deputy campaign manager during her 2016 run for President. During the early stages of that campaign in July 2015, a Ted Cruz-affiliated Super PAC, Keep the Promise I, donated $500,000 to rival Carly Fiorina’s official campaign fund. The Washington Post noted that the donation was “unusual” at the time. Since the Enquirer’s accusations, however, Twitter users have alleged that the donation was “hush money” to keep silent about the affair:

Not in the ordinary sense, no. However, one is a news reporter and two are political hacks, so whoring themselves for career advancement, maybe.

I have never called for journalists to be murdered. I would appreciate it if you didn't make up shit I didn't say.

And what is your problem with admitting that is someone spreads their legs for a politician who is extraordinarily uncharismatic and unattractive, their motivation might involve career strategy rather than lust?

Took me a bit of time to track this down, but here's your post about how the Russian government has it right when it comes to killing journalists:

Why do you think the American media are so supine? Many have spoken about it. Career advancement depends on being given access to high-ranking officials, and high-ranking officials won't give access to someone who doesn't toe the line. That's why the American media choose to parrot the official Pentagon line. Not because they're afraid of being shot or imprisoned, or sent to the coal mines, but because it might reduce their chances of scoring the six o'clock anchor slot next year! WHORES! Bootlicking whores. Crawling on their hands and knees to lick the boot of any General or Undersecretary of Defense who will throw them a crumb and grant them an interview full of lies. Dreaming of the day that the Vice-President might pass by and defecate on their face because oh! what a grand photo-op that would be!

God, I would have so much respect for these monkeys if they had something to fear!

Pretty impassioned stuff. So, again, what's the root of your hatred?
