Actually Mandy not feeling well makes this day bearable...no three pages of far out conclusions to read through and analyse . But feel better man, home and sick sucks for sure.

TWR thing I have to be honest have never played with this player before. Was their statement even slightly accurate? There are certain players that just by opening their mouths the noose gets tighter but I have zero past experience on that player to know. Still certainly not the way to start. Makes it look as a player they will cave to the whims of the popular vote or way the wind is blowing just to satisfy the masses and that's a terrible idea especially if your role is valuable.

For mitch, ya I see it and unfortunately have seen comments like that before on day one from him before as well . I think that's more him than anything else. Trying now to remember the game as it has been awhile.

But yes, let's replace inactives instead of lynching them please. The last thing we need is to lynch a power role just because he failed to grace us with his presence

A couple of things.

I think it's straight crap just saying Day 1 is a shot in the dark or waste of time. If you aren't going to try then your better off dead. That's just my personal thoughts. Day 1 sets up the rest of the game. Also, I found put in my last game. Those that suggest mass claiming are morons. Got me killed early as a strong PR town role. Mass claiming always a bad idea. In short I really do not like BGs or TWRs absent from wanting to assist in the process today. My vote remains where it is for now.

I've seen TWR be a pro town player and skum hunt and I've seen him take a back seat and be skum soooo...my history with him is not extensive. I could is him being something dumb like a bomb.

See, this particular sentence in the middle of your thread got my attention. First, what would town have from lynching the inactive and second, why do you care about a mod? This was a pure scum play, as you want to lynch anyone, even an inactive. BIG FOS on you.

I agree with dakky here... wing is ready to sub in, no reason to lynch someone who is completely absent.

Good god, you can't put a single semi-subversive joke in a post I guess. It was supposed to be a ridiculous suggestion.

I don't have a lot of experience playing with a lot of you, so I'm hoping I can chalk it up to you just not knowing me that well. Anyway, I will try to keep my two cents short and sweet from now on. If I'm the consensus pick to pressure moving forward fine, but I think it comes from no one being on my wavelength humor-wise.

I agree that D1 should not be considered a lost cause by default. Unfortunately, BG has taken this approach to almost all the recent mafia games I've played with him. So, it's not indicative of his alignment. That said, he should step up.

TWR does get lynched a lot early in games. HIs comments don't make me think he's any more scummy than most games.

I don't like floyd's idea of lynched WT to give the mod (and us) an out. He's a little more careful than to propose that when he's scum though. That's a meta read, I know. But it's my take on him.

I forgot that Hotshot and ptolwe were in this. We need more chatter from a lot of people.

As for Dakky and myself you folks are correct we always attack each other but it is all in fun. Sometimes I will answer back right away ,sometimes not just depends on how I feel , anyway it does get the conversation started. As for twr statement it just is wrong! claiming your town this early for no good reason is just plain crazy, are you trying to get killed ? Maybe you are a jester or worse some terrorist bomber who will take a bunch of us out. and Jb Floyd I do believe you are trying to help the game but like H.S. said there is no reason to mod kill when we have a replacement.also UNVOTE

I get it. Consider the suggestion (which was meant tongue in cheek) permanently stricken from the record. I am fully aware that lynching an inactive is pointless that advances nothing even if there wasn't a replacement. The jury will disregard previous statements regarding Mr. WinstonTurqhill. I also move for an immediate replacement of this player barring extenuating circumstances of which we are not aware.

Thank you. Although home and sick sucks, swollen eyelid and still have to work sucks more. :(

So, I'm not really up for much re-reading on acount of bluriness and general eye strain. You can consider this Mandy-rant lite - just one obvious scum with another two implied.

Luckily, the player in question managed to give one scum tell in his first post and then was nice enough to double-down so that the whole thing doesn't look too far-fetched.

Seriously though, do you really think that I would seriously vote for 'one of the better Town players'? What madness could possess me to do something like that? :-^

Like "You have tell! I can see it!"

But then TWR proclaimed that he is going to be quiet so as to not give off any clue to his scummines this time, and I FOSed him with BuJaber voting him.

And Epitaph1 comes back with: "No! No! You can't tell who scumm is just by the content of their posts!"

Epitaph1 wrote:The FOS and vote on TWR are both weak. Scum usually doesn't come out and say "I'm going to be quiet so I don't get lynched today." ...which would make this game kind of pointless, if it were true.

At this point I was pretty sure who I want to see lynched on Day 1, so I dialed-up the swagger and actually taunted Epitaph

Well, between my voting 'one of the better Town players' and my FOSing TWR because I am naive enough to think that he might give himself away by making such a comment, I can hardly blame you. :( Please, feel free to correct any future misconceptions that I am sure to have.

First.. That is some good stuff Mandy. I had Epitaph as a potential, but I did not have as big a case as you do.

For those questioning my post about masons. I am not comfortable exposing my thought process to potential scum.
Think about what possible information a post like that can generate, including any reactions to it as has been demonstrated already. Then maybe you'll understand why. I will keep my reasons to myself for now but I may explain at a later stage.

I'll offer this as a hint: I have a town role. In order to maximize its value, I need information on both teams.

I will keep my vote on TWR until Epitaph posts a defense for himself. I am prepared to change my vote if his defense is not convincing.

Jb .. jokes are very much appreciated; and a good sense of humor is a wonderful quality. But there's a reason we can't have a joke phase that lasts forever. People have to make deductions so don't force them to interpret tone first. If you're town and we mistakingly accuse you because of a 'joke' post, that's a lose-lose. When the game is over we can joke about it as much as we want. Basically as of now, because of this, I can't help but place you as a potential scum.

Lynching Winston because of D1 inactivity doesn't make sense. Replacing him is something I can get behind; especially when an active player like Wing is the replacement. As I mentioned before, once the game progresses, and the same people remain inactive then it's a very possible scum tell.

I just don't understand why people are claiming so early , are you partners or in some cult with TWR ?

We know there are allies, with at least one common enemy. I wanna know who's with me. That's all. Maybe I'm claiming too early, but I'm okay with trying something out to get a discussion going that hopefully leads to some valuable insight. Also surely there not all claims are equal. There's a way of claiming that's just weird, and there's a way of claiming that can be useful to the right roles.

ptlowe barely offers any reasoning for his vote against me. He thinks I'm scum because I claimed town. That's it. That is not proof and it just makes him look like someone looking for a quick target. Kind of an aggressive post though, which tends to be a town thing based on my experience. So I'm keeping an eye out for you pt out of mutual respect, but yeah your post makes me think you're town.

I think the person I trust the most so far understood my subtext; which is good enough for now.

Bold emphasis is mine. BG didn't offer a reason for voting dakky (shame... shame... shame...). But I feel like it might have been that statement. Maybe later at the end-game I could buy the scenario that building a case on someone who ends up town means that the case-builder is scummy. But so early in the game? 90% of D1 is town on town violence. I can easily construe this as priming the pump for a mislynch of mandy later. So FOS dakky.

I'm wavering on whether to keep my vote on white rose. I feel like he's said all he's going to say unless he gets more votes. If that's not gonna happen. I feel like I have to move on to something besides lack of posting to push things forward.
