Really? You don't watch the news, or you just have a really poor memory?

#FakeNews
#FakeFakeNewsThat was before he became a far-right conservative. Prior to the shooting, "The tone of Loughner's rantings is almost exclusively conservative and anti-government, with echoes of the populist campaigning of the Tea Party movement."
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2011/jan/09/jared-lee-loughner-rightwing-rantsYour response is just another version of the "Lincoln freed the slaves, so Blacks should support Republicans" fallacy that shows that
some conservatives will use any specious argument to try to prove their point, without regard to history or logic.
Well, if we're getting all pedantic about this, Bernie Sanders, the politician, is not a political party, so the response to "Bernie Sanders", the CC member, was a non sequitur. If you want to be honest, you could admit that Jared Loughner was a far-right nut who shot Gabrielle Giffords because of her liberal politics, and GoranZ's response that you don't see Republicans doing this was a lie. Republicans are very fond of pinning the RINO label on those who call themselves Republicans, but stray to the left of the strict party line, so I don't think it's unjustified to pin a "Republican" label on Loughner after he starts spouting tea party rhetoric, and decides to try a "
Second Amendment Remedy" to effect political change.
As the most recent shooting shows, "Second Amendment Remedies" are not the exclusive property of one ideology or another, and Bernie (CC Member) was correct when he said "We got crazies in all political parties." But it's not the Democrats who are trying to make sure that the
"crazies" can have all the guns they want.
Edit: And it's not the Democratic leadership who has been telling people for years that this is an acceptable way to deal with political problems.
