Visual balance is the explanation I'd heard before.

I thought it was just a pre-emptive Brexit move. Let the UK keep Big Ben and the IV. The rest of the civilized world gets IIII.

I think it's that IV is offensive to people who have spent time in the emergency ward.

Story? I am waiting to see if you and the OP have any stories aboit avi-8.co.uk

They keep showing up as a suggestion. There is one that looks nice but I have never heard of the brand. They should be high quality to demand such a price but I can not tell from pictures. I had one of the new pizza subs from subway yesterday. It was not bad but it was not nearly as good as it appeared in the commercial. I am relieved I did not send several hundred dollars and wait months to find that out.

av8 is a rather recent brand, I think it's the same guys that do spinnaker watches, an english company. I think they do watches that are quite alright and ok in pricing. If you're looking to purchase a watch and you tell me a bit of what you have in mind, and what is important, what is not, what kind of budget you have I can give you a few suggestions. My guess is that you want a pilot's watch, I don't think you care if it's quartz or automatic.... you're willing to put as much as 200 bucks or so... av8 could be a decent option.. if you tell me more I can guide you.

i am no hublot fan, but they sure make inovative stuff and have very high end prices. I'm gonna guess prices.... 15 000$? more? I mean they got to rely on hard core cartel fans for a reason right?

Check the time of both messages, and I swear i haven’t looked it up. It was just an guesstimate of a hublot limited edition

If you want a honest opinion... that's overpriced trash. Not like it's a lot of money, but this watch will end up in a trash or in a drawer to never be seen again in 2 years time. That's like a cheap jeweler that made a watch that tries to look expensive cutting corners with cheap materials and basing all the value on the gold look... which you can get from real watch brands like seiko for half that price and with automatic movement and hardlex cristal... but i guess your son is young and that will make him apreciate even more the watch he gets after this one.

Well that thing has tons of craftsmanship people not into watches can't understand, but that price is absolutely ridiculous. Who would wear that thing anyways? I hate richard mille, they are all tacky as hell and based on that same case shape with astronomical prices... but at least there is value in materials, movements, micro details and all compared to some fashion brands that launch complete turds for several thousands...
But 2.5 mil for that watch seriously? Why not 10 millions?
