And if you'll let me be really anal-retentive for a second, technically the Wii TP map is incorrect. They flipped the original GC map so that Link could be right-handed for easier gameplay. It's not that big of an issue, but it would be cool to have it flipped the correct way. (Note: This all makes a lot more sense if you've played the game.)
Also, just thinking ahead, there do seem to be a lot of one-way areas (the desert, Snowpeak, starting area, etc.). If you do fix that, certain areas could be fixed to reflect the gameplay. For example, Snowpeak could have a one-way territory (since you can only go downhill in the last portion). Would there be any way to make it so that there aren't a lot of territories with just one way in?
Another idea for a bonus (sorry about the lack of cohesive thought; I'm just typing what pops into my head), what if you got a bonus for holding a dungeon? Since you get an increased life total at them, it sort of makes sense that you should get like a +1 bonus or something.
What about the cannons at Lake Hylia? I think it would be cool if you could have the cannon actually take you to the desert and the other landing pad. Okay, I'm seriously done now. Just coming up with some ways to make the map unique.
