Unfortunately there is already a counter-protest planned.
This is the wrong move.
This draws more attention to a rally that is not worthy of attention.
It also opens up the possibility/probability of the protests escalating into something that “justifies” pulling in the National Guard.
I think we should ignore it and demand that MSM also refuse to cover it.
We want counter-protests! We want big crowds - big crowds draw attention!
Already 32% of independent voters don't believe the 2020 elections were "free and fair" and 11% aren't sure. And that's just after a week of work!
Two years from now no one will remember the details of all this, they'll just remember the phrase "election fraud" and the name "Biden."
Biden is (potentially) entering the presidency in one of the weakest political positions in history. A majority of his own voters say they're not enthusiastic about him. He doesn't control the Senate and has a razor thin majority in the House. He faces a hostile Supreme Court. His party has a shrinking minority of state legislatures in a year new congressional districts are being redrawn. If we add to that a majority - or even a large minority - of independent voters who believe he rigged and stole the election, he's DOA.
The Democrats launched the Russiagate conspiracy theory the week after the election and they rode it victory in the 2018 midterms. Anything they can do we can do better.
