Cause if I say a BTs on me is wated a Lynch is even worst. So far none is voting for it, but for EW, I get it, I was trying to ignore his nonsense and just try to see if we could get a BT, but if people want to lynch me then I rather get BTed

I meant ignore Sonic nonsense, not EW. Although it really strikes to me he goes for a lynch even if he wants to say we need to advance lynch votes. I dont see a reason why we wouldnt get the votes for a lynch before the 10 if we BT tomorrow or on Monday but ok

You would rather get blood tested than lynched.. that makes sense in RL, but in the game if you're town, you should know that a wasted blood test is bad news too.
So there are three possibilities,
1) You're The Thing using reverse psychology on us, so we won't test or lynch you;
2) You're Town using reverse psychology on us , so we won't test or lynch you;
or 3) You're Town playing badly, trying to save you're own skin by being tested, at the expense of the Town's resources.
I'll admit, I've been second-guessing my 'random' BT vote on Dega, especially since the two players that actually made me somewhat suspicious were Sonic and EW...
but nobody else was voting for either of them, and I don't want to split the BT vote even further.
That is not the case with, Traf, who is already a candidate... but right now, I really don't know what to think about him.
I'm not going to change my BT vote, not yet anyway.
I want the other players to chime in with their analyses of
1) Traf's odd wanting-to-be-tested behavior...
2) EW's odd sudden-lynch-vote-before-BT behavior...
and 3) Sonic's need-to-create-complex-BS-theories behavior (though it sounds like that may just be how Sonic plays it in all Mafia/Cult games).
Good night, I won't post again until after there are new, fresh, and insightful posts to read.

If he's town, then being randomly BT'ed is much better than being randomly lynched. If he's the thing, then they're essentially the same, because a negative test would result in an instant lynch. I, too, would rather be BT'ed than lynched. (But of course, I would still say that even if I were the Thing.)
I think the only game I've been in that had a cult was Foundation Mafia, and the cult was eliminated by chance on N1. So I have no clue right now who would be a good BT candidate.
But since I was at BT-1, I'll claim... I'm Windows, a vanilla townie. I don't even know if we have any power roles in this game.
That may not exonerate me if DDS chose a random player to infect, but two different sites I've seen say that Norris was the first one infected, so if DDS followed the movie, then we could do a mass-claim of character names and BT Norris.
SoN!c wrote:I think a mass claim would not help town. I think everybody is vanilla except perhaps "MacReady". The hero in The Thing. So if there is a "MacReady" in here the mass claim would provide a big red dot on his back for The Thing.
And when there is no "MacReady" in this game (or he is vanilla too), then (and in any case) i believe "The Thing" will claim a safe vanilla role (safely provided by the mod). So the result of the mass-claim would probably get us nowhere. It could do even worse if "MacReady" (as townie) feels he has to come up with a false identity (to protect him and his townpowers) and picks another role already in the game..
Also after posting your "Norris" theory, The Thing (if his character name is Norris will surely use another safe claim?)

How many safe claims do you think there could be? There weren't a lot of characters in the movie.
But in any case, I found this in the signup thread:DirtyDishSoap wrote:So I'm eliminating Mac as a town hero and immunity since it just feels OP, however, I'll keep the random choice for the Thing and introduce a new mechanic for town to combat cult/keep with the theme
So anyone could be the thing, including MacReady, and it would appear that he is unlikely to have any special powers.

I am gary - vanilla town part of the science team.
SoN!c wrote:At least we're on the same page now that it's a lot better to get BT then getting lynched..
We (town) agreed to BT and lynch everyday..so 60% of us will get BT or lynched in the end..
That being said i do not think Traf is The Thing. I just think his chances being The Thing are a lot higher then the 10% random vote. And that is why i wanna BT Traf as an experienced player.
So: Yes we should BT an experienced player. No doubt whatsoever. But lynching an experienced player is quite another Thing. We need the experienced players to find The Thing.

Wouldnt it be fun to have inexperienced players fight who the thing is? And if Dega BT's negative and you consider Traf 16% "the thing", isnt that a lot better than a random lynch between the other 8 people?
In general idk if I've mentioned this before or anyone for that matter, the random vote is not a 10% random vote if you dont get voted yourself. The only alignment you are 100% sure of, is yourself.

BT Trafalgar.

When did we agree to that?
I don't think we should lynch anyone today without a positive BT.
If we mis-lynch a townie today, and don't find a thing tomorrow, then we'll have lost by N2. If we don't mis-lynch, then we can at least survive until N3.
