Also this -only after Hitler died and the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki did they consent to surrender
- is flatly wrong. In July 1945, Japan offered, via Switzerland, to surrender to the United States. The U.S. attacked Hiroshima and Nagasaki a month later. Even Admiral Leahy, Truman's chief of staff, agreed the atom bombs were unnecessary:"It is my opinion that the use of this barbarous weapon at Hiroshima and Nagasaki was of no material assistance in our war against Japan. The Japanese were already defeated and ready to surrender because of the effective sea blockade and the successful bombing with conventional weapons."
It was 50% science experiment and 50% Truman '48 campaign stunt.

This is simply premature and simply Hamas Propaganda, spouted by the Minister of CC Propaganda, saxi. You forgot to add none the Hamas ADMITS to killing. We shall await the final tally of hostages killed by Hamas. I am sure the count will not be ZERO.
Israel is an open society, willing to admit mistakes, Hamas is NOT and hides the truth in the dark of its many tunnels, like rats.

And yet you don't similarly believe that Russia's invasion of Ukraine is Ukraine and the West's fault for provoking Russia.
I wonder what might be making you less sympathetic to Palestine than you are to Ukraine![]()

Actually, it was completely provoked:May 9, 2023: Israeli airstrikes on the blockaded Gaza Strip targeting the militant group Palestinian Islamic Jihad have killed three senior operatives and at least nine civilians, including three children, according to the Israeli army and Palestinian officials. A total of 40 jets took part in Operation Shield and Arrow, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said, conducting strikes that lasted about two hours starting at 2am (12am BST) on Tuesday.
The unexpected Israeli attack came despite a fragile ceasefire in place since a day of cross-frontier exchanges of fire last week triggered by the death on hunger strike of Khader Adnan, a prominent political figure affiliated with Islamic Jihad held in Israeli custody. Israel reportedly relayed messages to Hamas that it was targeting the smaller Islamic Jihad rather than the dominant militant group. Wary of escalation, Hamas has stayed on the sidelines during recent escalations, while allowing Islamic Jihad to operate. But given Tuesday’s unusual targeted operation, and the high death toll, Hamas is now under significant pressure to respond.

A good question and one that you should also answer too, ralf, but in vice-versa, of course.
December 16, 23 Adoration
I am who I say I am, the Great God of Israel, the one to come for the final time to bring all who belong to me home. I live! I bring peace and the knowledge of a gentle and loving God that wants you with Him forever in paradise. I come like a soft-spoken word on the wind. Be always open to my word that awaits to be heard. I am He that calls to you that longs to bring you closer to the one who made you. I follow every step and see everything nothing escapes me for I am the Lord the God of Hosts. Nothing goes unheard or unseen. I am the Lord your God follow me.

Christmas celebrations in Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus Christ, are set to be all but cancelled this year, amid the on-going war between Israel and Hamas. Churches in the Holy Land of Christianity, which lies in the West Bank, demanded that festivities be toned down this Christmas in recognition of the suffering of the people of Gaza amid Israel's response to Hamas' October 7 terror attack.
'We cannot celebrate when our brothers and sisters are dying,' Issa Thaljieh, a Greek-Orthodox priest of the Church of the Nativity, the 4th-century place of worship whose crypt holds Christ's supposed birthplace, told the Times.
Thaljieh said he had learned that an entire family from Gaza he knew were recently wiped out in an airstrike, months after he led prayers for their newborn daughter.

Actually, I have strongly criticized the reckless NATO expansion which partly set the stage for the war in Ukraine. The most recent example was a discussion with Votanic in this forum, probably not more than two weeks ago. You can't have forgotten already.
The thing is, while NATO's expansionism did help set up the dominoes there, they didn't ultimately pull the trigger. If Putin wasn't an egotist who sees himself as the conqueror who will restore the glory of the Soviet Empire, the tanks would not have rolled. If a less power-mad president was in the Kremlin, he might have campaigned for a diplomatic agreement that would end Nato's expansion. He might even have done some sabre-rattling, but stopped short of outright war.
Hamas has never even made a pretense of diplomacy. Violence is always their first, second, and third choice. Even in times of complete calm they are busy launching their rockets at Israeli neighbourhoods.

NATO was never a threat to the Soviet Union or Russia. The alliance was/is a alliance to defend itself against Russia. NATO expansion is the result of Russian threat to its neighbors.
Putin thought he could gobble up Ukraine in a couple of weeks, but failed. The entire world saw Russia as the aggressor. To try to put any blame on NATO is ridiculous.

Totes!
Those Russians just stormed into the Ukraine...like a swarm of... like...like... like what?
Like a wild herd of Jewish settlers rushing in and setting up illegal settlements in the West Bank. Just like that.
