I was just reading this new study that drew some interesting conclusions about how those raised in the (US) church tend to be 'further left' than those raised without any church at all. It's pretty interesting, one of the core conclusions is people who leave the church are so 'scared' of how extremist it makes its followers than they in turn tend to become extremist against the church (not against god or jesus, just the church itself as it's seen as having corrupted the core messages of Jesus/christiantity).

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appeared in court again on Wednesday to be cross-examined in his ongoing corruption trial, after it resumed on Tuesday following an extended break due to the Iran war.

The proceedings were significantly interrupted, however, after he excused himself from the Tel Aviv courtroom just 30 minutes after the hearing began for what he said was an urgent security-related call at the Kirya military headquarters.

He was granted permission to halt proceedings for the security consultation despite the court rejecting a request from the premier’s lawyer Amit Hadad to shorten Wednesday’s testimony by three hours due to a “security-related schedule.”

Once again, the on-again off-again trial was on for 30 minutes before he found a "national security" excuse to slither away.

If only he can find new wars to start, he can keep this up for the rest of his life.
