Message from Jesus

I am the Lord Jesus Christ who comes to save. I, the Son of God, am the only one who can save someone from the fiery pit that never stops nor grows cooler. I am He, the Lord of all, true man and true God, never ceasing, never fading, never to die again. I am the rock on which all is founded; there is no other besides me. A house cannot stand on sand; it will crumble when stress comes. A house built on rock will stand when stress comes. I am that rock that every life must be built on.

HitRed, what about the persecution of Christians on the West Bank? Are you being a good Christian by turning the other cheek?

“I speak of none but the computer that is to come after me,” intoned Deep Thought, his voice regaining its accustomed declamatory tones. “A computer whose merest operational parameters I am not worthy to calculate — and yet I will design it for you. A computer that can calculate the Question to the Ultimate Answer, a computer of such infinite and subtle complexity that organic life itself shall form part of its operational matrix. And you yourselves shall take on new forms and go down into the computer to navigate its ten-million-year program! Yes! I shall design this computer for you. And I shall name it also unto you. And it shall be called…the Earth.”

Message from Jesus

I wait for the day for you to return to me. There is much rejoicing when one sinner repents and returns to me. I gave my life so that you might live everlasting life. Those who have eyes ought to see. Those who have ears ought to hear. Listen to my word and see the truth that has always been. Come lay down your ways and seek my ways, says the Lord.

“Religion doesn’t seem to work like that; it has certain ideas at the heart of it which we call sacred or holy or whatever. That’s an idea we’re so familiar with, whether we subscribe to it or not, that it’s kind of odd to think what it actually means, because really what it means is “Here is an idea or a notion that you’re not allowed to say anything bad about; you’re just not. Why not? Because you’re not!”

Message from Jesus

I am the Lord God of all. I called creation into being, just as I have each and every human into being. This is how powerful I am! I breathe life into man, and I set his days; and when those days come to an end, I call that life back to me in death. I number man’s days on the Earth. No one escapes death, and when death comes, all will stand before me, Jesus Christ, true God and true man.

Neither side has the high ground in that conflict. Another example of how religion causes strife.

It's not just about what's happened since October 7th. Israel have behaved appallingly since the 1960s with settlement of the west bank and other incursions; the PLO, Hamas and Hez Bollah have been killing people for just as long.
According to this: https://www.reddit.com/r/IsraelPalestin ... ince_1948/ Israel have been killing at the rate of around 5 to 1; but they're a country with an official well-funded military rather than terrorists (or freedom fighters, depending on your point of view) so it's not that surprising.
Being unequal doesn't make it any less tragic on either side. It was up to the world to set a fair division of land in 1948, and to police it properly.
Both sides have killed children and adult civilians; none of it should have been necessary, and very little of it is justifiable. I can't castigate one side and not the other.

A lot of what you say was true.

In earlier times, a lot of the attacks on Israel were unprovoked and unjustified, and it was legitimately defending itself. In particular, during the three decades between the Khartoum Resolution and the Oslo Accords, there's no doubt that the Arabs were the aggressors and the Jews were fighting a legitimate war for survival.

The Oslo Accords marked a turning point. There was an opportunity there for a legitimate and (probably, though no one can say for sure) lasting peace. There was a genuine desire for peace on both sides. Likud and its leader, Nutty Yahoo, worked tirelessly to sabotage the Oslo Accords and ruin the chances for peace. (This, incidentally, is not opinion. This is borne out by Nutty Yahoo's own published statements: https://imeu.org/resources/resources/be ... lution/114)

Since 1996, Israel has been stuck in the Age of Nutty Yahoo. Despite never having majority support, Yahoo has used his almost superhuman abilities to manipulate parliamentary negotiations and keep himself in control, and during that entire time there has been a ceaseless drumbeat to destroy and dismantle the (now virtually invisible) structure of the peace agreement. Almost shocking when you think about it. The Oslo Accords were signed 34 years ago, amidst such a huge groundswell of desire for peace on both sides. One man, and the stooges who surround him, has made it his life's mission to destroy that peace, and he has basically succeeded.

Now onto the current Gaza War. It may have started as a war. It may have started as a legitimate outburst of anger about the October 7th killings. But it didn't remain that way. I can't give you an exact date, but sometime in its relatively early stages, the Gaza campaign mutated from war to genocide. The IDF went from occassionally shooting civilians as part of the inevitable collateral damage in combat, to shooting civilians with complete impunity. It went from blowing up buildings that may have concealed military strongpoints, to just blowing up buildings at will. It went from starving areas that still held guerrilla forces, to just starving vast areas of Gaza with no military objective. It has gone from pacifying a resistance to simply crushing a people.
Image

As recently as the first few months of the current Gaza operation, I was still defending Israel. I was still thinking in the realities of the past: collateral damage is unavoidable in war, you won't have urban warfare without occassionally blowing up a strongpoint, etc. But more and more testimony has come from many sources, including many that are unbiased, including many that previously supported Israel, as I did, that this is something new. 82% of the buildings in Gaza have been blown up, including all power stations, hospitals, water treatment plants, any facility that makes modern life bearable. The people have been gradually pushed back into smaller and smaller tent cities while their old homes are bulldozed behind them. This is the intentional eradication of the entire enclave. Once all the people are in an overcrowded tent city with no fresh water and no sanitation, famine and disease should finish off most of them, and the last few will accept deportation to whatever foreign land is bribed into accepting them.

This is not war. It checks every box for genocide. It is mind blowing that those whose mothers lived through Belsen and Treblinka should be doing this to another people.

Genocide by Isreal and its IDF? Get Real.
1. What Israel says it does: multiple warning tools on record

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) explicitly describes a multi‑channel "duty to warn" program that includes leaflets, pre-recorded phone calls, live phone calls, text messages, radio and TV broadcasts, social‑media posts, and the historical practice called "roof knocking" — all presented as efforts to reduce civilian harm [1] [2]. The Lieber Institute at West Point summarized that the IDF maintains a dedicated warnings cell that tailors messaging in Arabic and monitors whether civilians heed those warnings [2]. The IDF and its spokespeople have repeatedly posted images and text of leaflets and evacuation maps as evidence of those efforts [1] [3].
other source:
A spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces, he describes these measures—including steps unique to the Israeli military—and the broader effort to minimize incidental loss of civilian life, injury to civilians, and damage to civilian property in urban warfare.
https://mwi.westpoint.edu/the-idf-appro ... n-warfare/

Is it perfect? NO, what is? Are civilians KILLED? yes. Intentionally? NO, not in most cases. Hamas uses its missiles to kill Jewish civilians; Isreal tries to protect civilians, both in Isreal and in Gaza.

In the meantime, Hamas purposely targeted civilians on October 7. Two-thirds of the Jewish casualties that day were civilians. And there is evidence of massive brutality toward civilians.
The 7 October attacks were another awful chapter in the history of antisemitism
https://www.independent.co.uk/voices/7- ... 24579.html

another source:
On October 7, 2023, coinciding with the Jewish holiday of Simchat Torah, Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel from the Gaza Strip. Around 6,000 Palestinians breached the border in 119 places and infiltrated Israel, including 3,800 from the Hamas "elite Nukhba forces" and 2,200 Palestinian civilians and other militants.[16] 1,163 Israelis and foreigners were killed,[1] including 859 civilians, 282 soldiers, 57 policemen and 10 Shin Bet members.[17][12] (...)

The militants stand accused of various atrocities, including sexual violence.[18][19] About 250 Israeli civilians and soldiers were also taken as hostages to the Gaza Strip, including 30 kidnapped children.[20] The Hamas assault prompted an Israeli counter-offensive in Gaza. The day is considered the bloodiest in Israel's history and the largest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust.[21][22]

Al-Qassam militants extensively recorded their actions through body cameras, probably for propaganda purposes.[23] They also stole victims' phones to livestream their deaths on social media. Additionally, they posted messages or media on victims' social media accounts and went as far as calling relatives to taunt them.[12]

Documents discovered on the bodies of Hamas operatives in Israel indicated that carrying out massacres was a key objective of the invasion. Israeli first responders reportedly found instructions on the bodies of the operatives, directing them to target civilian populations, including elementary schools and a youth center, with the explicit order to "kill as many people as possible". The documents also outlined the directive to take hostages for future negotiation purposes.[24][25]

and food and water is getting Gaza today:
Prices for staple foods declined by approximately 72% between September 2025 and May 2026.
More than 70,000 cubic meters of water are supplied to Gaza each day through pipelines, desalination facilities, and other infrastructure.
More than 18,000 tons of medicines and medical supplies entered Gaza following the ceasefire.
Humanitarian aid has shifted primarily back to established international organizations following the conclusion of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation's operations.

You got it WRONG, Duk.
