Vote Count!
  • Talapus (1) - Anarkistsdream
  • Incandenza (5) - mandalorian, The2exile, Talapus, wicked, LSU Tiger Josh
  • Not Voting (3) - kwanton, Selin, Incandenza

With 5 votes, Incandenza is lynched!

"Anna Hathaway was no poet,"
Said the crowd in Kate's Cafe,
"A ban upon her we now set."

Though she professed her true love's name,
All the rest were lovers scorned -
With hearts of ice, they knew no shame.

And so our Annie Hatter's gone
With a tear, but smiling too.
"Your verses suck; your meter's wrong!"

Incandenza, Annie Hatter (Desperate Critic), has been banned from the Cafe!

It is now Night 3! You have approximately 72 hours from this post to send in your night actions.

And thus did poor Day Four arise
Upon our poetic tribe;
It's time to see who lives, who dies!

The critics wrote a new Review,
And woe be today's tidings
For morning's sorrow now claims two!

The lover's heart, betrayed, did break,
For the strain was just too much.
"How could my love be a critic?"

But worse, the man of haiku's song
Found himself too much ill fame -
"Haiku? There's none worse in Hong Kong."

Anarkistsdream, Billy Wigglestick (Lover), has died of a broken heart!
Selin, Lee Takahashi (Poet), has been criticized!

It is now Day 4.

(And now I'd like to make a public apology to Selin. Sorry; I screwed up when I gave you that verse - I had completely forgotten that I'd made that earlier post, and by the time I remembered, the game had started.)

While Anark was telling the truth, I
am glad we got scum with Incan.
While I still have my questions
I will wait for Mandy
to first state all his
observations.
I must go
to town
now.

When I came back, it was the night
So no vote from me, yes that's right
Does anyone think that it's odd
And everyone say nay or nod
The kill goes up one evry night

This caught my eye, captured my sight
Well maybe this is only slight
This something special from our mod?
When I came back...

NowI say something isn't right
I am very suspicious, quite.
So as we rhyme and as we laud
Hahaha I have a hot bod.
Please do tell me your thoughts alright?

LAST HAIKU

Drove eleven hours
coming back from holiday...
Happy at home door :D

As he takes keys out,
felt a shadow behind him
and than... a knife jabbed

Falling down... last breath...
"Adios" said the Haiku man
"Good luck rest of town!" =;

In the City by the river
Where there mighty oak trees grow
There was a Cafe loved by poets
Who came in for coffey and show.

Poets aren't down-to-earth types,
At least so is said by some,
But eventeually they came to realize:
“We are dieing, one by one!”

And then they heard a booming voice,
Although they thought that they're alone,
“I AM AIMLESS!”, the voices shouted,
“I'M SPEAKING THROUGH A MEGAPHONE!”

Luckely, he found volume control,
Or we would all go deaf, my brother,
He said that we can save our selves,
By trying to lynch one another.

Naturally we liked the idea,
As I said, we're bit aloof,
But, alas, twice in a row,
We lynched poets, without solid proof.

Then, in grip of desperation,
(Which is title of King's novel)
I started screaming: “Tell me your names,
Or I will hit you with a shovel.”

Well, some poets they thought that I'm crazy,
And others thought that I might be scummy,
Other's thought that I am giving up,
And the rest of them has called me a dummy.

But eventually all but one,
Spoke their name in a great big shout,
We concluded that Inca is Nark's wife,
We said: “Eeeew!” and we kicked him out.

But one has remained silent,
Trying his best to blend in,
To remain here in our midst
And secure that critics win.

Now Exile, you had plenty of time,
To come up with a fake name,
I am voting Exile, but, just pro forma,
I pray you all to wait for his claim.

Because there are only six left,
The time for mistakes is in the past,
I think Exile is the second scum,
And that Wicked's Marlowe is the last.

But I am a bit disurbed by Selins death,
For I confess to you all,
I wasn't just pulling Mafia's leg,
I really thought him a power-role.

I for one guess it's kwan
for he didn't vote scum
in Inca yesterday.
He also seems to skim
to miss the lovers talk,
how Ank would die today.

Mandy, you are wrong,
I am but a poet determined to do better than before,
It is difficult to write in song. :-(

I do not wish to hear the bell again go dong,
Not with my knew knowledge of lore,
Mandy, you are wrong.

For a name I believe you have waited long,
I am Dill Welshman, writing in villanelles, quite a chore,
It is difficult to write in song. :-(

To suspect me, you must be smoking a bong,
In this matter at least I am sure,
Mandy, you are wrong.

Marlowe scum? Could be true, though the shot is long,
All I know is PCM screwed up this me for,
It is difficult to write in song. :-(

This time of confusion reminds me of King Kong,
Vote kwanton, I do, as a critic was Baudelairebefore,
Mandy, you are wrong,
It is difficult to write in song.

(I loved the ballad mandy :D)

(Bloody difficult to put standard mafia game reasoning into villanelles. I'd trade for heroic couplets any day of the week :?)

I know that dear kwanton
was trying to see if
someone would jump at a
chance to push for a lynch.
looks like exile took the
bait that I laid so quick
with no reason at all.
so for that FOS exile -
Claim before the hammer.

Exile claims that Pancake screwed this up
How can that be as aimless gave
out the poem types to all true
poets? While I want to
vote exile I will
wait as numbers
are small in
our game
now

Mandy while exile may be scum I
do not know for sure, we have both
been suspicious of wicked
as a possible scum
candidate as blank
verse really is
not a real
poetry
form

Yes wikipedia may find it
and there it also lists a Chris
Marlowe as an easy claim
I say blank verse is not
real poetry as it
is not found on
the link Tal
gave us
once

The fact that Tal gave that link and not Aim
should tell you there that either Tal is scum
or Aim found info in many places.

Exile's actions look scum but not his votes,
so hard to say, but let's hear from him first
about why he voted kwanton back then.

Tiger you're mistaken if you don't know
that blank verse is popular poetry
as is the late great Christopher Marlowe.
Sure I may butcher it and am not best
but my meter is constant regardless.
So either do your research or shut up,
as you look like a fool with your false claims
