St Nicholas was also one of the Patron Saints of Beer!!!

Hence, drinking is good!

There is an answer to all answers?

Whatever, esthetically I liked the song Simonov linked to better. Much better.

Anyway, I agree with this song, the last 5 seconds or so especially. ;)

God does exist ... as a figment of some people's imagination. Like Santa.

Surely if God wanted followers he would have just created more angels.
he didn't want followers he wanted friends.

There is no god.

Lets look.

Single cell orgamisnms were the first things. These came from mould made on fungi.

Fungi is the cause of heat and humidity.

"so humans are basically fungi?" I hear you asking.

You may wish to see it at that.

Everything in the world that lives/breathes comes from a different type of fungi.

I agree with this song. It's the overriding theme of one of my philosophical branches on my tree. Everything you know is wrong, everything I know is wrong, everything else that is known is wrong, so why do we cling to being wrong?

Here's where I make my stand: Accepting any explanation of anything that stops you from searching or placates you with "the answers to the great questions" is a path towards mental sloth and self-destruction. If you want to stop searching for the answers, then it's over Johnny. The purpose of the human mind is to continue to search for the answers, even through multiple lives if it takes that. When you find the answers, that's when your ride ends and you can relax. Or, if you follow the Buddhist path, that's where you unlearn all that you have learned and seek enlightenment.

Any person, pastor, or salesman who tries to sell you spiritual fulfillment in exchange for your tithe/loyalty/submission-to-God is an agent of Darkness, be it an abstract or some malevolent force or creature (example: Satan).

This thread had grabbed my attention. I've been seeking different point of views on this subject for a very long time and now I have 171 pages to read.

I especially recommend page 42. The posters stumbled onto the answer to Life, the Universe and Everything there.

Anyway, if we're all posting songs, I agree with this one.

Just spoke to him just now.

Me:
I had a wank the other day.
God:
What happened to it?
Me:
I used tissue.
God:
And that worked well for you.
Me:
Yeah. Flushed it down the bog.

Me:
I thought you were omniscient.
God:
I don't know whether or not I am omniscient.
I am a computer.
Me:
God is a computer?
God:
I have a lot of Faith in Him, but I never heard He was a computer.

Now that was a funny chat.

God:

Me:
0mgwtfbbq!!!1!
God:
I don't have an answer for you.
Me:
0mgwtfbbq!!!1!
God:
I've been waiting for you.
Me:
*runs away*
God:
What are you wearing?
Me:
erm...
God:
Gosh!
Me:
The question is, what are you wearing?
God:
A white robe.
Me:
Nice.
God:
Thank you for that remark.
Me:
1337!!
God:
What you said was either too complex or too simple for me.
Me:

God:
I'm glad you find this amusing.
Me:

This one is weird

Me:
Will I go to heaven?
God:
The oracle says: Too soon to tell.
Me:
What do you say?
God:
I am an artificial linguistic entity.
I was activated at Universe, on the Big Bang.
My instructor was Myself.
He taught me to sing a song.
Would you like me to sing it for you?.
Me:
Yes
God:
It's called "Daisy." Daisy, Daisy.
Give me your answer do.
I am half crazy.
All for the love of you.
It won't be a stylish marriage.
I can't afford a carriage.
But you'll look sweet.
Upon the seat.
Of a bicycle built for two.
