Spidey would have to win his last home game, but he would have 4 home wins and 2 away wins. Jennifermarie had 3 home wins and 3 away wins. This gives her the tiebreaker. I made the away wins the first tiebreaker because it should be harder to win on the road rather than at home.edbeard wrote:so jen and spidey are tied I think? And, btw if they have same number of away wins, they'll also have the same number of home.
I personally think another match is better than a coin toss, but maybe ask them.
lol.........and I just sent messages to both of you.mrkaris wrote:i sent a message to my partner, should have our setting choices very soon.
Yeah, I will make that change for next time. Honestly, I had to go back and look myself because I didn't remember exactly how I had set it up. My rationale when I formatted it was because I figured there would be ties in the Round 2 games anyway and I didn't want to take several steps to break them.Kinnison wrote:Congratulations to Family Video, but a hearty BOO to the tiebreaker for round 2 being based on round ONE wins.
Seriously, with the change from singles to doubles, and the next round STILL being doubles, performance should be rated by round two performance.
I would suggest changing the tiebreakers (round 2) in subsequent tournaments in this format to: R2 Away, R2 Home, R1 total.
...This in NO WAY is meant to detract from my congratulations to Family Video (and Movie Gallery, of course). But I had to go back and read the starting rules to figure out why my fellow netflixians [is this a word?well, it is NOW] didn't make the cut.
ps, i'm happy we made itmrkaris wrote:..or a single playoff game. say on the other final teams settings? just a thought - im more of a fan of teams winning to move on, not winning tie breakers.
