Revamp Earth v4.....page 1and3

42 territories

For more info: go to page 3.

I tried to use information from my other maps.

EC: bad graphics and textures. This map is easier to look at.
Piano: Too linear. This map isnt....
NewYork: Small territories, hard to fit in names and dots. Also had strange texture and bg. This has a plain bg, and does not draw too much attention. The terits are much larger.

ps. this was not my idea

This is very impressive! My only concern is that North America and South America no longer satisfy their continent names, unless in this alternate reality Amerigo had no sense of direction. I think I could deal with that explanation.

Pritty solid. the only problem is pixalation at the moment. Sort that out and this map ill move forward pritty fast.

EDIT: also id like to suggest that you join asia to north America rather than the thin barely noticeable lines

yea, i found it online, i didnt see any copyright. Plus, i changed the graphics and some terit borders. They cant copyright the names because they are real places. I brought it up in Map Ideas thread.

@gimil Yea, that would make more sense

@Coleman Yea......hmmmmm.....

Always be careful when finding maps online, usually they just lead to trouble.

If hes used his own art work and EVEN changed a little bit of the map i don't see a problem.

However contacting the original artist could hurt

it seems like you just traced the one that you found online. I mean I have no problem with that if it's a regular map of the world (In fact that's how I do things sssshhhhhh), but doing that to someone else's work seems a little shady to me. I'd say concentrate on your NY map.

Btw: i contacted the creator of the map. Someone from landgrab also wanted to use it, and he got permission, so i think it will be fine.

it was originally the other way, but then Coleman said

So i decided to switch them around. Cause SA was actually North of NA.

Don't take this personally, but I think it should be the geographical way. It will get people mixed up, with the game log since it says "North America" or "South America" people won't know where to look since it isn't in its original space.

the new key looks a lot better, adn the north/south is fixed now, but it will definitely draw some comments until they actually realize the poles have been reversed

just curious and all, but is there anyone u can spice up the water routes? it just seems so boring and bland as straight black lines. just a suggestion.

let me say a few things that will keep you bussy:
Pixelness, everything is very pixely (ex. all borders all army shades, the bonus names, the bonuses in the legend, the S from "South", the title "revamp earth!"

also you might try out patterns/texture so it isn't a plain color

also why an outern glow and an inner shade, please select one, cause 2 is to much, also i think the countries themself don't need that shade, only the main border that touches the sea

the "bridges" aren't good, they just don't fit

hope you can do something with my comments ;)

i dont have time to comment now on Wisses's suggestions, so i will in a little while... just wanted to say that the rainbow lines were a joke. Look up a little to see the real ones. lol
