i was prepared to ask who the f*ck is rosa parks. but then i took a few minutes and read the wiki.

so i find this example that treefiddy gave as being very appropriate.

cleveridea, you seem to be stuck on some facts and you keep repeating them over and over again. at first you were obnoxious now you're just plain boring. first of all i never once said lack is an incompetent and yet you keep putting those words in my mouth. second i never said the suggestions are always ignored and nothing is ever done to fix things. i only said this problem has been brought up before and nothing was done. perhaps lack saw it and wanted to add a fix in the next update or perhaps he saw it but wanted to see if it really serious and this experiment hurried the implementation of a fix.

you say this experiment was morally wrong. yes i agree some people were hurt apologies and rematches were all that we could offer and we did that but let me ask you this.

when Galileo said the earth is revolving around the sun and not the other way around he was charged with heresy for contradicting the beliefs of the church. did he ever stop to think: hey, will i hurt people by expressing this theory? i don't think so. he only thought at the greater good his discovery will bring. yes we have hurt a few people (which have then received apologies and in some cases more points than they lost) but in return we helped a whole lot of other people but preventing future abuses of this type of game.

i have absolutely no regrets about this experiment. i wanted to do something good and i think i did it. and that's the end of discussion for my part. you can continue to argue all you want.

so please explain me. how come you only have 3 games vs 1 guy over 1500 points? how did it happen that you missed hundreds of games versus people over 1500 points and did not join them?
how come that when you look at some of the starting moments for those high ranked games you find out you were only and started other games versus cooks? what does this prove? that you were online and searched for games. found games vs cooks and vs high rankers and decided to join the easy ones.

If I don't see something your way, then I more blind than you thought, or God help me. <--Clear Fallacy

I wonder what "shocked" reaction you will have about me next.<--Clear Fallacy

What I did was not morally wrong at all.

I've put all the points back on the table for those that were deadbeated. I even entered the experiment knowing I would do this. No one was hurt, others gained, and the immediate problem was neutralized.<--please demonstrate a: no one was hurt. your other points I'm taking as given

The specific act of deadbeating out of games with the intention to work the point system in your own favor is not morally right. It's a good thing I wasn't doing that.<--I'd counter that you did actual damage by removing the emotional enjoyment time from your unwitting participants. You stole time from them. It cannot be recovered.

Me bringing up Rosa Parks was not an emotional response at all. It was me trying to show how ridiculous your statements were. It was not a parable, I was also not trying to relate this experiment to what she did.

<--Then there was no point in bringing it up=fallacy, once again

I'll gladly take any criticism from an upstanding member of the community, or rather, people who aren't trying to fling poo our way to distract the masses from the crap they have pulled, or are pulling. Of all the people that could throw the morality term around, you are not one of them.

It's hard to receive arguments so full of fallacy.
As for criticism : I believe you made a poor decision in proceeding with your experiment in the manner you did. I would have continued to press for alternatives, but that's just my opinion.
That'll all.
