The Feedback Instructions page asks that we not leave negative feedback for missed turns.Piestar wrote:It's not perfect, but remember, you can read their feedback, and use the Ignore option.
My only guess is that he/she didn't like their opening layout, so decided not to play.... which would only be more reason to include this feature I've suggested. That reason still doesn't seem likely, though, considering they seem to have started the game with half of Peloponeses. A multi, maybe?deathscythe30 wrote: Only partially related to this thread, but how do you be the last person to join a freestyle game and 1. not take your first turn, and 2.end up missing 3 straight turns?
Happened in this game right here...

Stats should be shown as the current "percent wins" are shown:PLAYER57832 wrote:The biggest problem is you won't know WHY someone missed turns. I missed several turns, was kicked out of several games when I first started in CQ because we had a flood in our house, had to move to a hotel on an emergency basis and I had no internet for several days. I notified everybody right away and, thankfully, all seemed understanding (at least no one gave me a neg). Stuff happens .. and sometimes it happens when we are new, sometimes when we have been here a while.
That said, knowing that someone has a HABIT of missing turns would help. A few -- can happen to anyone. A lot-- either means they have significant connection issues (constant power outages, lack of computer access, etc.) OR that they are intentionally using this tactic. Either way, I can see why some folks might wish to take a "pass" on those folks. The key is to set the threshhold relatively high so you catch the real problems and don't delete the majority who will, inevitably miss a few turns, even "deadbeat" occasionally, but who don't make a habit of it.
For that reason, if this is used, I would suggest a percentage value rather than a straight numerical value for the screen-out feature.
I understand that, but when a person's rate is abnormally high, there is a greater chance that they are not accidental. With the feedback system, people are bound to receive feedback taht they don't deserve, but the system is still helpful. Perhaps a link next to the stat to show all associated games (the games that were deadbeated/the games that were turns were missed) would be helpful, so that it can easily be seen what the missed turns have in common. If all the missed turns were on the same day, then I know it was probably out of the player's control. If I see that the player regularly deadbeats terminator games more than others, or is playing games the same time that his/her missed turns were available, then it is apparant that these were not accidental.Herakilla wrote:the problem is some of the missed turns/deadbeats are ACTUALLY accidental. there was a time last year i missed like 20 turns due to loss of power for a day.
