Actually I did look it up just to check. While you may personally find porn obscene, porn by definition is not obscene to all, or else there wouldn't be a thriving porn business out there. Nonetheless, obscenity is not forbidden by our guidelines. Porn is.

PhatJoey, I don't know what else to tell you other than to not go to Flame Wars if you don't like what's posted there. Think of it as adding someone to your ignore list.... they can still play here (we won't kick them just b/c you don't like them), but you don't have to put up with them. It's PERSONAL CHOICE. What we allow to be posted in FW fits within the guidelines set for the site. This information is all well-known; no one should be shocked to enter Flame Wars and read what they read.

Pretty metaphors are fun, but I think it'd help your cause a whole lot if you actually explained what it is that you're proposing. At the moment it just seems like you're having a whinge for the sake of whinging... I think we'd be a lot more receptive (and this discussion a lot more productive) if you outlined the precise changes that you're lobbying for.
