new look Crossword 1.1 [Vacation]

spinwizard...i'd like to see u finish this project....a lot of people have gone to great deal of trouble for support for this and to pull out now would not be good in many people's eyes. I hope you're not bored with the challenge you've set up with this.

On another note...WL Wouthern...can the poll be pulled down?

I know, i just dont have the time to dedicate to it!

cairswk yes the poll can be taken down we go for the glow set up there was a problem with the voting some people said in chat that they could not vote

looks ok to me spin if we take are time over it that be no problem to me on that better to get it right than to rush it

Put the legend stuff on the side so tht it does not be so tall...

2 issues.
1 the glow thing looks like some tubes not crosswords. i still think you should go for the grayscale approach.
2. the map is too tall. and you don't have space to put the legend on the side cause that would make it too wide. so that gets back to one of my earliest suggestions of reducing the number of terits.

I will try toneing the colors down,

Is their a hight limit?

Maps are recommended to be:

600 x 350 (small) with a max of 600 x 600
800 x 600 (large) with a max of 800 x 800

I'll quote the How to Make a Map Thread

Host the image using Photobucket.com or something similar. The type of image file must be PNG, GIF, or JPEG. You must design two versions of the map: a small (up to 600 px wide), and a large (up to 800 px wide). Height must not be any greater than 600px on small maps and 800px on large maps, but it is recommended that you do not exceed 350 px on small maps and 600 px on large maps so that users will not need to scroll down to attack.

Yes Spinwizard...some work to be done there on height...perhaps the idea would be to lose a few squares width wise, and reduce the title & instructions.

Could you please post the basic required information such as map size in the first post? I'd like to know what the size issue is without reading 17 pages of posts.

spin make the small map 600x600 then add the legend to the left side in an extra box and the larger map 750 x 750 use the 50 for the legend to the left side again
will do oak but i want to see what this looks like first
