Well no it doesn't. Neither does most murders in the United States, most armed robberies, and so forth; that doesn't mean we should ignore them.
It's all about
attitude. It's the same attitude that caused
Leona Helmsley to say "We don't pay taxes. Only the little people pay taxes." It is the attitude of the rich and powerful elite and they are the people who are in it up to their necks in those top 100 issues facing this country.
Spending money one doesn't have is easy for the rich and powerful elite. They just can never understand that when all is said and done the federal government really doesn't have any money at all. All they can spend is someone else's money. Every time they spend one million dolalrs, one million people are one dollar poorer. Every time they spend $304 million dollars, everyone in the United States is one dollar poorer. Given the current state of the economy, some people really need that dollar. But when your rich, you don't care about the "little people." (Mind you if you do care about the little people you might loose your job, as the CEO of BP found out.)
